<p>Calling all Outdoorsy hosts, charging for extra miles and generator hours just got easier.</p>



<p>Just look for the Record mileage and generator button on the Bookings page for the trip. This appears 2 days before the trip begins.</p>



<p>You’ll enter your mileage and / or generator readings twice.</p>



<ul><li>Enter your starting miles and / or generator hours before the trip begins.<ul><li>Take photos of your odometer and generator meter, as well.<br></li></ul></li><li>Enter your ending miles and / or generator hours when you get your vehicle back.<ul><li>Take photos again.</li></ul></li></ul>



<p>Once you enter the ending values, we’ll calculate any overage charges for you. You’ll see a breakdown of what the guest owes, based on the mileage and generator settings for your listing. At that point, you can decide whether to charge the guest or not.</p>



<p>To charge the guest, select the Process overage fee button. We’ll charge the guest’s payment method on file.</p>



<p>If you allow unlimited mileage and generator hours for a listing, you will not see anything about this new process on your Bookings pages.</p>



<p><strong>No more calculating overages yourself</strong></p>



<p>This new process gives you a fast way of seeing whether your guest used more miles or generator hours than what their rental included. And, an easy way to charge for it.</p>



<p>You can now stop using the Collect extra fees process to charge the guest’s security deposit for mileage and generator overages.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The new process also gives your guests better transparency into how many extra miles and / or hours they used. And, how much they paid for any overage.</p>



<p><strong>Reminders</strong></p>



<ul><li>You have 7 days after a trip ends to collect extra mileage and generator hour fees.<br></li><li>Charging for extra miles and generator hours is optional. If you decide not to charge the guest after seeing the overage, perhaps because it’s really low, simply ignore the Process overage fee button.</li></ul>



<ul><li>You can set both your per-day usage limits for mileage and generator and the cost for going over. To adjust your settings, go to your listing and:<br><ul><li>Select Pricing from the left-hand menu if you’re using the website.<br></li><li>Select Mileage charges or Generator charges from the menu if you’re using the app.</li></ul></li></ul>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Each RV owner on Outdoorsy is free to set their own terms for mileage. Some miles may be included in base rental rates and can be dependent on the season. All this information is clearly set out in the description of each vehicle, so you’ll know exactly what’s included before you make the booking.</span></p>


How many miles are included in the base RV rental fee?

<p>Charging for excess distance is simple through the Outdoorsy platform. If you know prior to your renters booking that they plan on traveling well over your daily allowance of kilometers.</p>
<p>One option is to add a package cost for the additional KMs prior to approving the booking. This way the renter is charged up front, and if they don&#8217;t end up traveling the full estimate you can refund any difference once they have returned.</p>
<p>If however you have not pre-charged for additional kilometres and your renter goes they you can claim the additional charge from their security/damage deposit prior to releasing it.</p>
<p>To do this log into your dashboard and click on &#8220;Completed Bookings&#8221; select the rental in question and click &#8220;View Details&#8221; from here you can select &#8220;Manage Security Deposit&#8221; and choose to claim a portion of it or all if necessary.<br />
We recommend including a detailed summary breakdown in the notes section of this process so that the renter has a record of everything that they are being charged for. Once you release a portion of the security deposit it is returned immediately to the renter so please make sure that you have calculated all additional costs (outside of claims) before releasing or claiming a portion of the deposit. If the security deposit is not enough to cover the additional costs, please reach out to our support team at support@outdoorsy com or toll-free (877) 723-7232 and we will assist in charging your renter the additional cost to their card on file.</p>

Outdoorsy reserves the right to cancel the Contest at any time and for any reason without notice.</p>

<h3><strong>Eligibility:</strong></h3>



<p>The Contest is open to residents of the U.S. and its territories, and the District of Columbia, who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry. Officers, directors, and employees of Outdoorsy or its affiliates, and related companies, and the immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, spouse) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such officers, directors, and employees are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Entries originating from any other jurisdiction are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable Texas and US laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.</p>



<h3><strong>Agreement to Official Rules:</strong></h3>



<p>By entering and participating in the Contest, you, the entrant, fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Outdoorsy, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. <p>Outdoorsy reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or a portion of the prize) of equal or greater value for any reason. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. <p>Outdoorsy makes no representations or warranties whatsoever as to the ability to use the prize or to book and rent any particular vehicle or stay listed on the Outdoorsy.com platform. A winner making a booking on the Outdoorsy.com platform agrees that additional criteria may be imposed by the listed vehicle&#8217;s or stay&#8217;s owner. If the booking value exceeds the credited amount, then the winner will be solely and completely responsible for covering the booking expenses beyond the prize amount. Such booking must purchase the maximum available insurance coverage offered through the Outdoorsy.com booking platform. Outdoorsy will not be responsible for covering additional trip costs on and/or off platform, including but not limited to, mileage overage fees, gas, campground reservations, airfare or any other costs and expenses. All bookings on the Outdoorsy.com platform must fully comply with the terms and conditions and other policies therein.</p>



<h3><strong>Winner selection and notification:</strong></h3>



<p>As described in &#8220;How to Enter,&#8221; winners will be selected at the end of the Contest Period. The winners will be notified via email addresses provided on the submission. In order to receive the prize, the potential winner must return email communications with Outdoorsy&#8217;s team to set the delivery conditions of the prize. If the potential winner fails to respond to the email within 7 days or is found to be, in Outdoorsy&#8217;s sole discretion, ineligible or in violation of these Official Rules, such potential winner and his/her entry will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries. Outdoorsy may request paperwork that the potential winner will be required to complete in order to be awarded the prize (including, but not limited to, a publicity release, tax documentation, drivers license information, evidence of insurability, and/or liability release). The failure to do so will render the potential winner ineligible.</p>



<p>If the potential winner is under the age of 25, they will need to be accompanied on their reward trip by a verified driver (verified in Outdoorsy&#8217;s sole discretion) over the age of 25 who will be responsible for being the driver of the vehicle during the rental period and who will be legally responsible for compliance with all terms and conditions related to accepting and using the prize, including the provision of paperwork and the releases and indemnifications described in these Official Rules. The prizes will be available for redemption until December 31, 2026. The receipt of the prize offered in this Contest by the potential winner is conditional upon compliance with these Official Rules and any and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.</p>



<h3><strong>General Terms:</strong></h3>



<p>Decisions made by Outdoorsy are final and binding in all matters, including interpretation of these Official Rules and awarding of the prizes. Entrants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay, or misdirection of Contest materials submitted to Outdoorsy. Outdoorsy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest, or any part of it, if any virus, bugs, other technical failures, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond Outdoorsy&#8217;s control impair the administration, security, integrity, or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Outdoorsy in its sole discretion. Outdoorsy in its sole discretion reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it finds to be tampering with or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and, should such an attempt be made, Outdoorsy reserves the right to seek damages from such persons to the fullest extent permitted by law. Outdoorsy&#8217;s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that term.</p>



<h3><strong>Release and indemnification:</strong></h3>



<p>By participating in the Contest, you agree to release from liability and hold harmless Outdoorsy and its parent company, affiliates, and related companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, and employees and agents (collectively, the &#8220;Released Parties&#8221;) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or the receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. Entrants agree to indemnify the Released Parties and any other companies associated with the Contest, including any vendors or marketing agencies, and any third parties who have provided prizing. The indemnity covers all claims made not only by potential winners, but also by anyone participating in the Contest. The indemnity covers both claims arising out of the Contest itself, and claims arising from any use of the prizes.</p>



<h3><strong>Limitation of Liability:</strong></h3>



<p>Outdoorsy is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant, printing errors, or any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, malfunctions, delays, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; (4) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged, stolen, misdirected, or postage-due entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by entrant&#8217;s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, or from any trip booked or taken using the prize. This includes such failures that might result in more winners than planned are issued.</p>



<h3><strong>Disputes:</strong></h3>



<p>This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States and State of Texas without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this Contest, entrant agrees that any and all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively and solely before a state or federal court located in Austin, Texas. Further, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys&#8217; fees, and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.</p>



<h3><strong>Social Media Content Usage:</strong></h3>



<p>Winners are encouraged to share photos and videos from their prize experience on social media. By posting content related to this giveaway and tagging participating brands, winners grant Outdoorsy, BarkBox, Sniffspot, Wilderdog and brand partners non-exclusive rights to repost, share, and feature such content across their respective social media platforms and marketing materials.</p>



<h3><strong>Privacy Policy:</strong></h3>



<p>Information submitted with an online entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on Outdoorsy&#8217;s website. Notwithstanding the foregoing, participants grant Outdoorsy the right to share your name and email address with with our participating partners.</p>



<h3><strong>Winner Name and Rules:</strong></h3>

<p class="has-normal-font-size">You can unpublish your stay listing right now or block your calendar so that no further bookings can be made through Outdoorsy. Outdoorsy will unpublish your stay listings end of July 2024 automatically.</p>



<h3><strong>Does this affect my RV listings in my account as well?</strong></h3>



<p>No, this will only affect listings that have been listed as a stay</p>



<h3><strong>What do I do when I have a booking for my Stay with a check-in date that departs after October 1st 2024</strong></h3>



<p>You will have to cancel the booking and rebook the guest if possible outside of Outdoorsy</p>



<h3><strong>Should I expect a tax from Outdoorsy for stay bookings in 2024?</strong></h3>

Ending Stay listings FAQ


<p>You&#8217;ve booked an RV and are getting stoked for your camping vacation &#8211; hooray!<br><br>Now, let&#8217;s say you want to change your payment method after you&#8217;ve booked your trip. No problemo. Depending on when your trip departs, different charges, like the security deposit, can occur at different times. <br><br>As a result, you may want to update the payment method associated with your reservation. Here&#8217;s how to do that:</p>

How do I update my payment method?


<p>Roamly has partnered with Sensible to provide a product that allows you to purchase coverage for the duration of your trip and be able to receive a refund in the event of bad weather.</p>



<p>Available in the U.S. only, for all RVs, this additional Roamly Weather Coverage provides protection for your trip in the event of unexpected bad weather. Possible coverage is based on information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).</p>



<p>For example, if it rains more than the amount quoted (based on the NOAA day-of-forecast), then Sensible will automatically provide a refund to you, based on the current weather at the location of your trip.</p>



<p>When you initially purchase coverage from Roamly Weather, you will see some basic information outlining your coverage and its parameters:</p>



<p><strong><em>What to expect:</em></strong></p>



<p><em>A forecasted &#8220;light rain&#8221; of 1.5 mm, or more, for 3+ hours will trigger the daily coverage. We&#8217;ll alert you if bad weather is on the horizon. Don&#8217;t worry, we&#8217;ll only text you if it&#8217;s important &#8211; aka you have money available.          Light rain is when you walk outside, and the ground looks like it&#8217;s been raining, think small puddles. </em></p>



<p><strong><em>How&#8217;s the coverage triggered?</em></strong></p>



<p><em>3 &#8211; 6 hours of rain = $51.93/day                                                                                                                                               6+ hours of rain = $103.86/day</em></p>



<p>This is just an example of what you&#8217;ll see when you consider purchasing coverage. The expected forecast, details, and amount of possible refunds.&nbsp;</p>



<p>If the weather during your trip is considerably worse than anticipated, based on the previous NOAA forecast, Sensible will notify you via text message and issue reimbursement automatically!</p>



<h1><strong>FAQs</strong></h1>



<h3><strong>How do I purchase Roamly Weather Coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>Weather Coverage is offered when you make your reservation online for any stationary RV bookings where the RV is delivered and set up at a destination, or for campsite bookings, because the service requires an address to calculate the coverage.</p>



<p>You will also be able to purchase Weather Coverage after your booking is confirmed, from the Trips details page in your account.</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> Roamly weather coverage can only be quoted and purchased for trips that are less than three months long.</p>



<h3><strong>Is Roamly Weather Coverage the same as Trip Protection?</strong></h3>



<p>No, Roamly Weather Coverage is a separate offering from both Trip Protection and Damage Protection.</p>



<h3><strong>How is the covered amount determined?</strong></h3>



<p>The covered amount is based on the total cost of your booking when coverage is purchased.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>How long do I have to purchase coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>Roamly Weather Coverage is available for purchase up until the day before your trip begins. If your trip starts today, you will not be able to purchase coverage.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>What happens if I change the dates of my trip?</strong></h3>



<p>Because coverage is based on a specific date range and forecast, if you change the dates of your trip then your Roamly Weather Coverage will be removed and need to be repurchased for your new trip dates.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>Can I cancel my Weather Coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>You have 24 hours after the purchase of Roamly Weather Coverage to cancel it. After 24 hours have passed, then coverage will not be able to be removed without canceling the booking.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> If Roamly Weather Coverage is added within 14 days of your booking&#8217;s start date, then the option to remove the coverage will not be available.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>What happens to my coverage if my booking is canceled?</strong></h3>



<p>If the booking is canceled prior to departure, then the entire cost of Roamly Weather Coverage will be refunded to you.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> If the booking is canceled on, or after, departure then Roamly Weather Coverage will be nonrefundable.&nbsp;</p>
