2.0I don't recommend booking with Stephanie, mainly because of the following reasons: 1. The setup of the vehicle was not what was shown on the pictures - it was supposed to be a sleeper car with a mattress inside, instead we received a tent with an air mattress. Not what we signed up for, but it was too late to find anything else, so we had to accept it. 2. Ridiculously strict rules about cleaning the car - up to the point where Stephanie is photographing small stains from Sunscreen on doors. She also wants you to vacuum the car before returning it. Not something you want to do on your holiday. 3. Bad attitude and bad advice on where to sleep and camp - No Stephanie, Camp Kumu is not the only place on the whole island that is nice. Crazy you would say something like that as a local, good thing we didn't believe you or else we would have been confined to one part of the island. When you are 12.000 KM away from home, you expect you get at least what you paid for if not something extra. With Stephanie you just get disappointment. I added 1 point for cleanliness, the car and everything was nice and clean, that is a plus.

5.0The car was great. Stephanie is a wonderful host and gave us good suggestions. The car is practically furnished and has everything you need for camping. However, it is very challenging to camp on the island itself if you are traveling spontaneously. Approvals and reservations are needed everywhere, but these are only processed within 24 hours or longer. Most government campgrounds aren't really safe, and we didn't feel comfortable. We can recommend Anini Beach and Kumu Camp (as Stephanie advised us. However, we didn't know that the other places are even a bit dangerous for two women alone - this knowledge would have helped us with the choice) Natur in Kauai is beautiful. But it is better to plan everything cause also for some Hikes and going into Parks you need some permits/reservations.

5.0We had a great time and enjoyed Kauai. Stephanie is really is a really nice host. The car was strong and clean. Sleeping in it was no problem at all.
