While teaching is my true passion and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with kids nine months of the year, I also love helping people get out and enjoy the outdoors. Growing up camping and taking backpack trips out west, I have come to love the freedom of going to the lake to fish and enjoying hikes through Wisconsin's abundant scenery. My wife and I have three great kids that have changed our ability to be gone for our summers, but would love the opportunity to help you enjoy a weekend away from home. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. We will do everything within our power to accommodate your vacation needs for this camping season.

Awesome service as usual! I had trouble climbing up the camper stairs since I am only 4‘9“! So John, wonderful as he is, made a step for me so it was easier for me to get up into the camper. Thank you so much, John! You kept me safe! I would highly recommend Black dog recreation.

Thank God for John and his team! We had a camper delivered from them on site within 2 hours of our request!!! The camper we had originally rented got in an accident on the way to be delivered. Anna at Indian Trails told us to contact John and Black Dog. They made our 4th of July vacation possible! Thank you to John and his crew at Black Dog, and Anna at Indian Trails!

Camper was just what we were looking for and was super easy to pick up and drop off. We towed it with our Crosstrek Wilderness and spent a week lakeside in Northern Wisconsin. A heat wave hit and the AC was a life saver.

Everything was ready as promised. Unfortunately, our camper leaked in heavy rain. Black Dog was very very attentive to remedy the problem and compensate us for our inconvenience. I would highly recommend Black Dog and will use them again in the future. Thanks

RV was great! So much so that two other folks I was camping with have decided to sell their RVs and just rent from Black Dog Recreation. Very responsive and overall wonderful experience.

Tha camper was great, perfect for my husband, our large dog and me. Steve did a thorough job going over set up and take down with us. We camped at Devils Lake and picked up and dropped off the camper 10 minutes away from the campground.

John was a breeze to deal with. This was our first time renting a camper and were a little nervous about the process. John responded quickly to any question I had. He delivered a clean and well kept camper on time and picked up after we had left our final day of camping. Would highly recommend :)

Steve made this process as easy as it could be for my family. I have never heard about renting a camper before until a friend mentioned it to me one day. We found Steve’ camper it was perfect for what we needed for my Daughter’s sweet 16th birthday celebration for the weekend.
I will definitely rent again from Steve for our family adventures. Thank you for sharing your family’s camper experience we all had an amazing time. 🫶🏽

We had a great time in the RV. We had it delivered and it was set up before we got there which made it seem like we were just checking into a hotel. RV was cooled down and the fridge was ready to go. Loved having two bathroom and the beds were as comfortable as RV beds go. John also put out a huge outdoor rug in front of the RV which was a welcome addition. It was cheaper than staying in a hotel and was a great experience start to finish. John was easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. Would definitely rent again.
