About Mike G
Our goal is to serve other outdoor enthusiasts who are considering buying their own van (giving them the ability to try one before they commit to it). My goal is to facilitate connecting with the outdoors. There are so many amazing national parks to explore - it's pretty much impossible to soak it all in in just a day or two. Follow us at Californiavanlifellc on IG for more content with the vans. We are obsessed with the customer experience and plan on offering a great experience to all renters!

Mike was a fantastic host and provided me with the coaching I needed to feel more confident about the vehicle and its various functions. He was kind and made himself available to answer all of my questions. He also offered up some additional camping supplies that were very helpful to me on my adventure.

Our trip was incredible! From the start, Mike was extremely helpful and made the camper van rental process painless. He answered all of our questions and gave us recommendations on places to add to our agenda for the week. He picked us up right from the airport, showed us the ins and outs of the van, had an assortment of necessities for us to take with us, and sent us on our way. The van fit our family perfectly and the sleeping beds were surprisingly comfortable. We can’t wait to hear back to Yosemite soon and will definitely book with Mike and California Van life again!

Mike was awesome. The van was exactly as advertised. Mike went above and beyond meeting all of our needs with supplies and gear. This was especially important as we flew into Fresno with light luggage for the whole trip.
My son and I enjoyed an epic trip to Sequoia > Kings Canyon > Yosemite. I highly recommend this host and the site in general.
We are planning to make a national park trip an annual thing now.

Mike was amazing. We are looking to come back just to rent one of these vans again. I trip to Yosemite wouldn’t have been the same. If you are looking for a fun camping experience we would highly recommend using Mike’s company!

Mike was an excellent host and explained all the ins and outs of the van. The van was fantastic and made our first Yosemite trip unforgettable! There was 3 of us and it was perfect. Mike had options for cooking supplies, sleeping supplies, and any extras we would need for the van. The van was easy to drive and easy to use for a first time van/RV user. 10/10 experience and I would rent from Mike again in a heartbeat!

Of my at least a dozen Outdoorsy/ campervan rentals, this was hands down my best experience!! Highly recommend. Mike did a great job introducing me to the van and has an amazing "store"from which you can grab the essentials only you need for the trip (IE bedding, kitchen, etc) & even offers extras you may have forgotten like big spray and sunscreen. The van was great.... Had everything I needed and handled very well (my first time with a diesel engine.) It did incredibly on the snowy, slick, winding mountain roads in Sequoia during a late spring a snow! No trouble navigating or slipping! Next time I'm in CA I'm renting again😉

The RV worked out perfectly for us and Mike was super helpful ensuring we had a great trip. We’re a family of 4 and the sleeping arrangements with two in the back and two up top were more comfortable than I was expecting. It can feel a bit tight at times with the multi purpose living/dining/kitchen area, but the inside space is well arranged to maximize the space and it’s a worthwhile tradeoff for the maneuverability of a van compared with a much larger RV. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to take an RV for a few nights with 4 or fewer people.
