2018 Highland Ridge RV Open Range Ultra Lite
The Highland Ridge Open Range trailer is a high quality, beautiful, Trailer. The two slides make a large living area with 2 theater seating recliners, a large sofa that makes into a Queen bed and a dinette with seating for a family. There are 3 Roku TV's, one in the living room, one in the bedroom and one outside. The outside TV also has a soundbar, so you don't miss any big game pre-game talk. The kitchen island has a stainless-steel farm sink, and a flexible high set faucet. there is a 3-burner gas stove with an oven and a microwave above. There is also an outdoor kitchen with a 2-burner stove top, refrigerator and water faucet. In addition, there is a gas grill that attaches to a moveable arm at the rear of the trailer. Both the gas grille and the outdoor kitchen stove top plug into the LP gas system on the trailer. There is a full bath with a glass door shower and porcelain toilet. The master bedroom has a full queen bed, clothes storage on both sides, clothes hamper access, and a large closet for hanging clothes. Towards Brownwood there is a very nice park at Hord's Creek. Fishing there is always enjoyable. In the Brownwood area there is Lake Brownwood State Park as well as other campgrounds. Further away (about a 6-hour drive West is Fort Davis State Park, a beautiful mountain park that is breathtaking. we try to go there for at least 2 weeks every year. We tow the trailer with our Ram 1500. It will also need an electric brake controller installed in the truck.
The trailer has a single Black water sewer hose connection but, there are two Gray water connections - one for the shower and one for the sinks in the kitchen and bath. This allows you longer showers but it is an extra tank to empty. We will show you how the dump systems work as well as show you all the other systems on the trailer. We will also provide a "cheat sheet" on working with the systems.
We welcome pets but insist on NO Smoking in the trailer.
For Pickups and Returns we are flexible with the exception of Sunday returns: No returns until after Noon.

My wife, Star, and I owned an RV Rental business in MIchigan in the 1980's. we rented Class C motorhomes. We have owned Class C, Class A, Tent campers and teardrops. As we've gotten older, we're looking again at Class A motorhomes to go full time again. We have kids, grandkids and great grandkids that we like to visit but we'd like to do it without bothering anyone. We are renting the trailer because we like working with people to help them have enjoyable vacations. The Highland Ridge is a high-end quality trailer that we bought new in 2019 as a year-old model. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law that lived with us went in a nursing home just after we bought the trailer, so we didn't get a chance to use it much. We took a 2-week vacation in it and then covid hit so it has basically been sitting in our yard more than it's been on the road. We occasionally use it as a guest house when company visits and we keep it well maintained. We hope that renting it out will be a blessing for the folks that rent it. we will be using it for trips when we visit churches, we have a music ministry and I'm an ordained minister.

The RV was fantastic, we have a 1 and a half year old and we were visiting my in-laws ranch. We needed something with all the things that we have at home but on the road. This RV was that and so much more. It really felt like home.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
If the trailer is available prior to or not rented the next day we can work out something. If it's just running late on return, a phone call to let us know what is going on is sufficient. Just stay in touch so we don't worry about you!

Q.Are there any pet restrictions?
A.
The only restriction is your pet must have all of their shots that campgrounds require. Also, make sure that you watch out over your pet. All of the seating surfaces are leather and may be hot for your pet to sleep on. Please bring a crate for your pet if they have separation anxiety. Bring their favorite blanket to sleep on and some of their toys so they feel comfortable. If you need an extra leash or other pet equipment let us know. We want you and your pet to have a wonderful experience.
