This iconic beauty is more than just a camper van--it's a portal to wholesome nostalgia and relaxed leisure, just toodling around and bonding like the good ole' days. You cannot help but feel young & happy in this van...we call her our 'Meaning Maker!'Picture of yourself cruising along scenic routes with oldies on the radio, the wind in your hair and on your feet, a soft smile on your face while the sun casts a warm glow through the big retro windows. Inside, the beautifully renovated interior invites you to unwind, while thoughtful amenities ensure your comfort on the road. Whether you're seeking a weekend getaway or a longer adventure, Butterball promises a joyful and utterly charming experience. Embrace un-plugging from it all, and leaving the stressors of modern life behind, as you make new memories the old-fashioned way - no overstimulation, no distractions, just good old-fashioned connection.BB's vintage is her charm, and that comes with some old-school technology, so I am happy to give you a thorough run-through to show you where everything is, before you head off on your grand adventure!PS: your host is a Recreation Therapist (hence "the leisure bus"), so BB has got some goodies inside, for fun times and connection. :)Cosa è inclusoBed: One comfy double bed + a single bunk overhead. Cotton bedsheets, down blanket, lush pillows, extra wool blankets for cooler nights. Mirrors, hooks, and closet space. Blackout curtains ensure privacy, and discreet suburban camping.Kitchen: 3 burner propane stove, sink, icebox. Basic cookware and dishes, potable water, and some spices (s&p), & sauces. Tea towels, garbage bags, cleaning supplies.Bathroom: Portable toilet, toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizer, & hand towels.RaccomandazioniHappy to recommend some great local spots based on your preferences! The lights inside run off of a separate battery in the cabin, the portable toilet is stand-alone and not hooked up, nor is the water, and the fridge is an icebox.The three-burner stove and the furnace run on propane.An extension cord can be provided & is listed as an add-on, if you'd like to include it.Taking ferries: note that she is 17’ long and just under 9’ tall.

Hello Hello! I am Jeanette, a warm and fun-loving Recreation Therapist who loves to create magical and meaningful experiences for myself and others. I believe that taking a break from modern distractions and returning to simplicity is a great way to reconnect with ourselves and each other. As soon as I sit inside Butterball, I am filled with a warm, nostalgic, youthful joyfulness—it feels like sunshine in my heart! • Please drive this big old gal tenderly (she's not a race car). She loves a leisurely drive with the am radio blasting, but not flying over road-bumps and navigating boulders on crazy logging roads. She's a giver, but you gotta treat her kind!

We had the best two days with Butterball. Our time with her was short, but she was the best part!
She was so adorable and had everything we could have needed and more. The bed was SO comfy. We got such good sleep! Not too hot or cold, and it was the beginning of August.

Travelling with Butterball across Vancouver island was an amazing experience and a dream coming true. Her vintage and charming look made the experience extra special, and we will for sure miss her very much. We also very appreciated Jeanette’s kindness, organisation and responsiveness. We strongly recommend people to live new adventures with Butterball, you won't be disappointed! Hoping to come back again to Vancouver in the future for more! Thank you again for everything,

Incredible!
Definitely must drive gingerly but that is mentioned in the listing & butterball absolutely holds her own & THEN some! Amazing time.

We had a wonderful time cruising around in Butterball and taking her up the Sunshine Coast! She was nicely decorated and had all the amenities we could have needed! Jeanette was a great host, very responsive, thoughtful and helpful! We highly recommend renting Butterball and enjoying a bit of nostalgia in this cute 1970s van :)

Had a wonderful time in butterball cannot thank Jeanette enough! Super attentive to detail , super caring and knowledgeable! Highly recommend this vehicle 🚗 defintely a pretty unique experience! Super spacious and easy to handle .

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Driving tips: Leave room for slower braking & accelerating, take wide turns, reverse carefully; & steer clear of height bars. Always make sure the propane tank is closed before driving, skylights/side windows are closed, and that everything is secured. :)
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
PIckup and drop off is between 6-7:30 pm on weeknights, and between 11am-12:30 pm on weekends. Other arrangements can be made outside of this if necessary, and doable. Anything outside of this will be charged 30.00 per trip, and can be found under ad-ons. Early & Late drop off is 25.00 per hour, charged post-trip from the security deposit.
