2010 ford - E-450 Self ConvertedI built this bus myself with the intention of living off-grid full-time, and I've done just that for 2.5 years.Every inch has been lived in and loved – wood burning stove, simple design, and all the essentials you need to live on or off the road.Insulation: 2 layers of rigid foam insulation separated by fiber glass and R7 radiant barrier in the ceiling and walls for true 4-season living – we’ve comfortably stayed warm through -15* F nights in Tahoe.Power: 800W of solar on the roof, a 200Ah battery bank, Mppt charge controller, and 3000W inverter with an extra on board 2300W gas powered generator with 5 gallon back up gas tank, for back up power on rainy or overcast days. – totally self-sufficient.Plumbing: 5 gallon fresh tank, 5 gallon grey tank, battery powered water pump.Kitchen: Deep countertop, storage shelf, roll out pantry space and 75L Iceco fridge, 2-burner propane stove.Living/Sleeping: Twin sized bed with tons of storage underneath, plus a couch the same length as a bed.Heating: Cubic mini wood burning stove. Puts off tons of heat and got us through the craziest winter in Tahoe!Ventilation: 18 inch top hatch giving roof access + 6 windows 2 of which are emergency exits that hinge out for even more ventilation, large AC unit over bed tied into the bus’s coolant.Storage: Outdoor “garage” closet with ski racks, a large double decker desk, underneath the couch, hanging closet space, and more hidden spots than you’d think.
