"Lowers" 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon Weekender - Manual

The Van was in GREAT condition and drove like brand new. I had zero worries about taking the van anywhere. She held up great on my trip from San Clemente to San Diego and out to the mountains around Julian. There was plenty of room in the van for all of my stuff and it was a real head tuner on the mountain roads! Such a fun little few-day getaway and the perfect van to accompany us on our trip. PS- Brian the owner is super easy to rent from and made the process super easy and smooth. I will be renting again in the near future and will be recommending this van to others. Thanks, Brian!

Brian is the best and most friendly guy ever, the van is gorgeous! Drives beautifully for an old girl, super smooth transmission and suspension. Such a comfy bed! Outdoorsy, on the other hand, were extremely difficult to deal with (despite Brian and I both making extensive efforts to get some issues sorted). So, overall 10/10 for Brian and the beautiful van, but 2/10 for Outdoorsy as a platform and app.

I packed as much fun as humanly possible into a two day Orange County trip, thanks to this dreamboat of a Vanagon. San Onofre surf session. El Moro Canyon hike. Shake Shack. Day trip to HB before a wedding in Laguna. I haven't lived in CA for 20 years, and this van was like a time portal to pure youthful joy. It ran perfectly, and had plenty of power. Driving a manual transmission again was a blast. Music up, windows down.... So. Much. Fun. The van was clearly very well maintained, and the check in and check out were very simple. Brian was a great communicator, and I would gladly rent from him again.
