We had an outstanding time renting this van for our 10 day trip across the Southwestern US. It did well on bumpy forest roads and in ice — SolRising is ready for any condition. The extra large battery and water tank made it so we could stay off the grid the entire trip which was very convenient for dispersed camping. The second rear seat doubled perfectly for our dog’s sleeping area and fit her bed perfectly.

If you haven't rented a Storyteller, Solrising is your chance. Excellent "garage" space. Easy to drive. Enough electricity to last a few days. And Sol is wonderful.

Q.What makes SolRising 4x4 different from other RVs?
A.
SolRising is not your typical RV. It's a customized 2021 Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 designed for luxury and off-grid adventures. Equipped with modern amenities, high-capacity batteries, and solar panels, SolRising offers both comfort and sustainability, perfect for families and adventurers alike. Unlike other larger RVs, SolRising's size means it fits in any standard parking place - meaning it can be parked anywhere your travels take you.
Q.If I take SolRising to freezing temperatures or the snow, do I need to winterize it?
A.
Most RVs require a difficult winterization procedure for snow bound trips. With SolRising, because all tanks and pipes are cleverly located INSIDE the heated living space, if you were to leave the van in a place with freezing temperatures, all you need to do is set the automatic thermostat to 60+ degrees and the water system will remain trouble free. The van doesn't need to be running or occupied, and the heater will only use a small amount of fuel while preventing damage to the pipes!
Q.Do I need a special license to drive this "Class B" RV?
A.
No special license is required to drive SolRising. A standard driver's license is sufficient to operate this 4x4 Class B RV. It's about the same length as a full size car, and just a little taller. Because of its upgraded aftermarket shocks, it's easy to drive and feels similarly to a high end car, even on curvy roads. Even with little or no RV experience, you'll quickly get used to driving SolRising.
Q.Is SolRising dog friendly?
A.
Yes, SolRising is happy to acomodate up to two of your well mannered furry friends! We understand that they are part of the family. We just ask that you pay our small pet fee (listed in add-ons) for the increased wear and tear. Most vans of this quality don't allow dogs, so we hope you appreciate and honor our trust in you, fellow dog owner!
