California is the perfect place to camp year-round and Sacramento is the perfect jumping off point. What could be easier than to jump in the driver's seat and go wherever you want to go! Not having to make a lot of accommodations or different transportation reservations, just drive where you want to be and enjoy it. I have traveled cross-country in this rig and it was pure pleasure to drive. We always had everything we needed right on hand.
