**This is a manual transmission**Throw back to the 70’s in “Sweet Pea”, a beautifully restored & updated 1972 VW camper that sleeps 4We purchased this bus as a fulfillment of a dream. After successfully hosting an apartment with Airbnb, we decided to bring our same 5 star service to people looking for adventure along the beautiful New England Coast. From Mystic Seaport along Rhode Island’s beautiful beaches all along the Cape, we are convinced that “Sweet Pea” will make for life long memories. The vehicle has an impeccably maintained drivetrain & a true pleasure to drive.Imagine an earlier time rambling along sandy back roads discovering new stretches of beach & quaint spots for ice cream before heading back to the campground for a relaxing night in our spacious well appointed camper! The interior has been meticulously restored & features a rear sofa that converts into a full sized bed for 2. The Pop Top has a full sized bunk which also sleeps 2. Sweet Pea now has a fridge/freezer!“Sweet Pea” is great if you:

Can appreciate taking things slowly
Enjoy strangers telling you their VW bus stories“Sweet Pea” is terrible if you:
Are concerned about getting there on time
Want an indoor bathroom/shower
Expect to climb hills/bridges
Never look at dashboard gauges
Enjoy Power Steering (or power anything!)Unfortunately due to the age of this vehicle, no children that require a child’s car seat.“Sweet Pea” has a RI State beach pass allowing for discounted parking at our state beaches.Please keep in mind, this is a 50 year old vehicle which was underpowered, without power steering and other modern amenities. We are looking to help offset the cost of owning this beautiful VW Camper. I have been a car enthusiast my whole life and finally found this bus and completed the dream of owning a “Bay Window” camper. The bus is meticulously maintained and I’m happy to speak at length about the bus! We have had apartments on Airbnb for over a year with “Superhost” status and over 40 5 star ratings, so we take special care to make sure our guests are happy. Know you are renting from a true fan and beloved owner who will take the time to make sure your trip is wonderful!
