2012 Thor Motor Coach Four Winds

Thor Motor Coach has always made their units with bringing people together in mind. The 2013 Four Winds is built with an open floor place creating an angaging envirnorment with everyone around. Great for small groups or first time renters. No slide outs to worry about. Small packed but lots of storage for kitchen, clothing, and other needed items.

The Service...We rented a 21' Coachmen Leprechaun and received a 2012 Thor Four Winds motorhome. The motorhome we received was in extremely poor condition (see photos). The passenger side mirror is inoperable as it vibrates loose on the road. We had one working outlet out of four. All cabinetry was chipped and off hinges with multiple missing screws. There was a sticker warning label for the non-existent smoke detector. The laminate table was assume was damaged and then covered with an unfinished piece of masonite. All living area seating was quite worn and covered in stains. The cooktop front was loose and rattles the entire time we drove the RV. Overall, this RV is in extremely poor condition and has been severely neglected. In our opinion, it is not even roadworthy with no mirror on the passenger side.

Guys at the desk very friendly and easy to work with RV was not clean, cabinets and floors dirty, bathroom sliding door was broke and useless Someone attempted to fix with duck tape Thankful it was only my wife and I using the RV Ride was very noisy largely due to the broken sliding bathroom door rattle and the stove top witch was not secure The RV was in need of various repairs and probably should be taken out of service until items mentioned above are fixed

Our experience with Elite RV and this 24' Thor Motor Four Winds RV was unpredictable but economical. The rental price was competitive and didn't change, but the vehicle and features we had expected did change and created several inconveniences. Where to begin?When we arrived at EliteRV in the morning to pick up our RV, we learned that the generator on didn't work in this original vehicle that we planned to rent, which was not this Four Winds. We actually went back home without an RV unsure about the 28-day trip we'd spent months planning. Later in the day, Elite RV called to say that the rental on a different vehicle (this Four Winds) had been cancelled and we could either (a) rent this Four Winds or (b) wait several days until they repaired our original rental vehicle or (c) just cancel the reservation. We agreed to rent the Four Winds because we had planned an elaborate trip already but, when we inspected the Four Winds before leaving the EliteRV lot, the AC didn't work. Nathan (from EliteRV) explained that the Phoenix heat was the problem and that the AC would work elsewhere. It didn't. The heating didn't work either. Both created discomfort and inconvenience because we stayed in hot places where we needed air conditioning during the 100+ degree days and because we stayed in cold places where we needed heating during the 45 degree nights. We didn't expect an new vehicle in perfect condition but never anticipated that critical features would be broken.Apart from the major breakdowns on both RVs (the generator on our original rental and the AC/heat on this Four Winds), EliteRV handled the smaller things very well, including getting a brand new bike rack. I know it cannot be easy to maintain an inventory of many dozens of RVs like they do, but EliteRV seemed to have a quality control issue in June 2020 so I encourage renters to double-check RV features before you go.

Reservation, pick-up and drop off were all very easy and quick. A/C did not seem to work, other minor squawks with the rig. Overall a good experience and we intend to rent again.
