2019 Shasta Oasis Camper Pick up or Delivery to Fort Wilderness

The positives: the owner was quick to respond to communication. The RV was new and well-taken care of. The owners were timely with set-up and had a lockbox for easy drop-off/return. The negatives: The beds are terrible. The mattresses are more like small sleeping pads, and I tent camp and could barely sleep. Honestly, my 1/2 inch blow up tent sleeping pad on the ground was more comfortable than the bed. It really felt like you were sleeping on a piece of plywood. My boyfriend can sleep anywhere and struggled sleeping here. The RV is not stocked. The listing indicates it has everything you need. There was not even a cutting board and knife or coffee cups. Dishes included small plastic plates, two full size plastic cups, and two kid-sized plastic cups with basic silverware. We could not cut up fruits or veggies and didn't have coffee cups to enjoy morning coffee in. Additionally, there were no basic cooking supplies (spray, salt/pepper, coffee filters, etc) except a few pans/pots that are usually in the rentals when they say everything is provided. There were no homey touches I have had in previous rentals (the bathroom soap was a used bar left under the kitchen sink, etc). I have done many rentals on various websites, including 70s pick-up truck RVs that were more comfortable and equipped as rentals, so it is not that I am inexperienced with this sort of thing. If you are someone hoping to show up with a suitcase, this is not the rental for you. This is best suited for a local willing and able to bring all necessary camping supplies with them.
