1997 Dodge Ram 1500
Very sturdy and well loved camper van
ready for almost any adventure. It has a memory foam full mattress on a platform with lots of storage room below and a pull out extension for taller people that can also be used for a table or standing desk. There are lots of compartments and areas for storage to keep your items safe while in transit. There’s an auxiliary battery powered by the engine that provides power to the mini fridge, roof fan, vent, water pump and a power strip. This battery can also be charged by solar panels that are included. For RV sites there are external plug in and water hook-ups as well.Large awning and outdoor carpet square for base camp.Propane water heater, propane tank and shower head. The van has a back-up camera that's been added to help navigate blind spots.CD/AUX hookup and kenwood stereo with great sound
Phone mount for naviagationThe van is in great mechanical shape with about 140k original miles on it and lots of updates including brand new battery, recent tune-up and oil change, catalytic convertor and o2 sensor. Nearly a full engine rebuild in 2015.
There are hydraulics that use regular air from any gas station that can help lift the back to level out heavier loads.Despite it's great condition, it's still over 25 years old and should be driven with care and ease. I don't recommend speeds over 65 and should be taken slow and steady up and over big passes especially with full load. The speedometer shows that you're going about 5mph faster than are (which helps me to maintain slower speeds :) )The AC does work but not well and increases the gas use quite a bit so I don't suggest using it.It's def. not a fuel efficient vehicle and probably gets about 12-15mpg which is important to consider into your overall travel costs especially with the price of fuel at this time.Cosa è incluso-butane one burner camp stove

-Yeti tumblersRaccomandazioniI've driven to Oregon from Oakland, CA and camped along the way. I spent two weeks on orcas island with it which was amazing! Along the washington coast. Stopped for berry picking. Have used wifi from grocery stores or library to do remote work. Boondocked in BLM land and had everything I could have needed!
The insulation keeps it cool on warm days and warm on cool days without anything more than the shades drawn and roof fan going. Altre cose di cui prendere notaDue to excessive dust that's impossible to fully get out, I cannot rent the van for burning man.Open to other festivals but it's best for shorter trips, or destination trips over long road trips due to the age of the van and fuel efficiency. Surfing, base-camping, taking your time along the coast or sierras are all good options.
