This fully restored Bay-window Westy will turn heads as it caries you to your dream destination. Camping in style will take on a new meaning in this beautiful vintage ride.
We spent several years rebuilding this baby which has everything upgraded including the engine and drivetrain. It drove across Canada last summer so we can rent with confidence. It comes equipped with the original electric cooler-fridge and sink - portable 2 burner stove with gas
- extra battery for longer power - plug in power adapter - on board water tank. Other features include a pop up tent, swivel front seat, mosquito netting for side and back doors, 8x8 retractible awning.
Further options to rent are a gazebo room, and external roof storage bag, and portable propane heater.
This is a beauty and a one of a kind ride, but we will ask that your trip is closer to home. We will also need you to know how to drive stick and that you understand an Air-cooled engine - this is not the vehicle to learn on. The van is very nice to drive, just don't be in a hurry when you go up hill, and keep an eye on the heat monitor ! I had it for a month. It consumes a bit much but it has the same size as a car so it's easy to drive. I had very few maintenance to do.
Had one issue related to the fridge battery but unrelated to the engine and Greg was very helpful.
Overall, I had a great time with Chula !

If you are looking for a great way to explore Vancouver look no further. We loved our experience and the Westfalia was equipped with everything we needed for camping. Greg explained us everything we needed to know before our trip and made us feel confortable. Experience with manual car is a must.

If you want to meet random strangers and share stories when travelling then drive a bright yellow Kombi! This vehicle is a cultural icon that represents freedom on the road. So many people came up to greet myself and Chula during our week touring beautiful BC. Greg was very helpful and thorough with tips on to live with “Chula”. Absolutely recommend.

We had the most incredible 4 weeks with Chula! Greg was brilliant with taking us through the van & helping us with the gear changes to begin with.
Chula was reliable for the entire 4 weeks, never had any issues with it & we cruised onto Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, up to Jasper, Banff & then down to the Okanagan Valley.
The room & storage inside was great, and the pop top adds so much extra space!
Cannot recommend enough!
