Our vintage VW Westy campers average $20k in restoration. The vans come equipped with small kitchens - including a sink, 2-burner stove, refrigerator, and lots of cabinetry. Each camper has a powerful second battery system as well as a tertiary system (with solar connect) for cold weather camping and plenty of USB/12V power throughout.They all come with a Pop-top tent with windows that sleeps two (2) people. A Bench seat that converts to a bed and sleeps two (2) people. Full curtain set for privacy while sleeping. Front swivel seats to make it cozy and comfortable. New tires for better handling and safety.We also will provide you with everything to make your trip Awesome!! A full complement of cookware, camp chairs, table set up - everything!There’s plenty of extras that we’ll have including a video projector, fuel-less stove, espresso coffee setup, extra linens...the works!Note: All trips Must be approved prior to departure. Please provide an itinerary before completing your booking.***Minimum 3-Night Rental****
150KMs maximum travel per night unless otherwise arranged with Camp Junkie.

This vintage VW van is fun to drive, in excellent mechanical condition, and easy to park in standard spots while sipping gas. It is well-equipped with kitchen, lighting, and accessories, though some experienced issues with water pump, battery drain, and propane refills.

Who doesn't fantasize driving a vintage VW van? I think for most, it is a pleasure to use one as well as all the thumbs-up one gets. However, there were a couple things were not up to parr. One, was we had no internal water pump. Mike left us with the impression it happened the day we were to take the vehicle, but a previous user who left their review in the glove box mentioned the problem. Also, our auxilliary Jackery battery, while at a 100% charge when we took the van, was at zero by late afternoon and our Dometic fridge was no longer ketp things cold. We opted not to use the built-in fridge, (our choice). We were not able to resolve this and as we were overnighting without access to AC, managed as best we could. Third and this is a suggestion to Mike. Finding a place to fill-up the propane was not easy. We went to three stations in Nanaimo (formerly in service, but no longer) leaving us to and ask Mike where to go in Vancouver. Mike, pls dont' require the renter to fill-up propane. Build it in as a free service.

what a delight to drive and camp in these vans. Big enough to live out of for many days, small enough to drive around town and park in standard spots in the parking lot. Also, sips gas versus the larger modern camper vans. Perfect for hoping around the Whitsler area staying in campsites along the way. Our family of four got a lot of thumbs up and smiles every where we went! I would highly recommend Camp Junkie, they were very accomodating.

All trips MUST be approved prior to departure. Please provide an itinerary prior to completing your booking. NO EXEMPTIONS. Daily mileage limits are strictly enforced, A limit of 150kms/day of travel shall not be exceeded without penalty. See below. The Guest acknowledges that there is a $3500 security deposit (the “Security Deposit”) required at the time of pick-up. This is refundable less any of the following: • Damage (exterior and/or interior of the vehicle; mechanical or engine damage caused by the renter; broken or lost equipment/gear) • Insurance Deductible payable in the event of an occurrence. THIS is above and beyond the security deposit. • Windshield ($750); This includes any "unrepairable" chips or damage while in the possession of the renter. NOTE: Repairs are not covered by ICBC insurance due to age/availability of new glass. • Unreasonable Use (e.g. excessive driving on logging roads, worn brakes etc.) • Excessive Cleaning required including from pet, smoke odours and/or an unacceptable rental return state (interior and exterior) ($250) • Lost or Broken Camping Equipment/Gear (to be charged per item - market value as deemed by Camp Junkie) • Refuelling (Cost of fuel plus $50 inconvenience fee) • Extra Day(s) (Daily rate for your booking + any loss to next rental window) • Extra Mileage charges ($1 per km) • Excessive Daily Mileage Penalty - charged when exceeding daily mileage limits of 200kms/day ($250/day of excess // extra mileage charges still apply) • Scratched van wrap ($550) • Scuffed rims ($200 per tire) • Late drop-off (Full day rental charged for dropping more than 3 hours past arranged time) See Camp Junkie's Terms & Conditions for further details at [URL removed]
