Richie and his van were awesome. My partner and I wanted to test out the camper van life for a week on a NP tour of CA - Pinnacles, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, and the 395 corridor. Perfect for the fall trip. Thanks for the awesome rig!

Rich was a great host - he provided a thorough walk through to help me prepare for my trip and easy to communicate with on the return. The van had everything I needed for a weekend climbing trip - plenty of space for gear and comfortable to sleep and work out of.

While Rich was more than willing and worked with me via txt to rent his custom camper van for 26hrs. The initial walk through was short and quick. With no demonstration or mention of a heater during the walkthrough let alone how to use the diesel powered heater and finding no carbon monoxide detector present I didn’t feel safe using it and we were left in the cold. The one thing that concerns me most is that this van is clearly a DIY project and outdoorsy clearly doesn’t verify or require certain safety features. As for the accuracy of the listing the bed is not a 2 person bed if you’re 6ft tall. Most of the night I tossed and turned trying to get comfortable sleeping at an angle with my feet on the hard counter. Upon mentioning the heater issue to Rich we were left with radio silence and no response so in turn I vent my frustrations with my experience in this review.
