Only about 25 minutes away.Lake Mineral Wells State Park — About an hour west. Rock climbing, mountain biking, a pretty lake, and much more of a "we got away" feel than anything closer to the city.Possum Kingdom State Park — Just about an hour west of the DFW Metroplex, this one is worth the extra drive. The lake features dramatically clear turquoise water, limestone cliffs, and great bass fishing.
