Lake Mineral Wells State Park — About an hour west. Rock climbing, mountain biking, a pretty lake, and much more of a "we got away" feel than anything closer to the city.
Possum Kingdom State Park — Just about an hour west of the DFW Metroplex, this one is worth the extra drive. The lake features dramatically clear turquoise water, limestone cliffs, and great bass fishing. It feels way more remote than it actually is.
The Vineyards Campground (Grapevine) — If you want something close and easy, this lakeside spot in Grapevine is beautiful and only 30 minutes away.Altre cose di cui prendere notaYou'll need a vehicle that can tow around 2,000 lbs — most SUVs and trucks are just fine. Of course you also need a hitch receiver with a 7-pin trailer plug.
Pets are welcome but please do not leave them unattended inside the teardrop.

We recommend a campsite with electric hookup because the battery will not run the A/C.
