Please respect my van, I put a lot of time, effort and money into building it and I would like it to stay in great condition.The bench seat in the back cannot be used for children or car seats, it faces perpendicular to the direction of traffic and car seats are not made for that orientation. The seat is only there for comfort while parked.Off road/dirt road/beach driving is not permitted. The van is 2 wheel drive and does not have enough clearance for the dirt roads here. This means NO Going TO Polihale IN IT. Sorry but the van isn't meant for that type of adventureSmoking/vaping of any kind is not permitted in the van. If the van smells like smoke when you return it, you will pay to have it professionally deodorized and cleaned.Sleeping in a vehicle in Hawaii is illegal but people do it all the time, in a lot of places, including very popular beach parks. But be warned, if you choose to sleep in the van in a public area you run the risk of getting fined. Any and all fines associated with sleeping in the vehicle are your responsibility.There are two private campgrounds where it is perfectly legal to sleep in the van, use one of those to sleep worry free.Camping on Kauai requires advanced permits that you can get from the County of Kauai or from one of the two private campgrounds. Jarom provides excellent communication, is flexible with arrangements, offers local recommendations, and often includes airport pickup/drop-off. He explains van features thoroughly and is always available.
Drives well, surprisingly easy to park
The van is comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped with a comfy bed, functional sink, fridge, solar power, and essential kitchen/beach gear, ideal for exploring the island.

5.0Jarom was a great host! Very easy to work with and make arrangments for pick up and drop off. Van was perfect for our needs. The bed is comfy. The sink is actually big enough to wash pans and dishes in. The van drives well and handles the narrow roads and ups and downs well. It is wide for the Kauai roads, so a little care is necessary when passing other cars and obstacles as well as branches over head. We camped in Kokee and Anini Beach, even though we had a tent, the van was absolutely useful and served us well. Bonus was that most people thought we were local, which creates a different vibe for your stay. We loved it and would not hesitate to rent from Jarom again. Excellent!

5.0Some quirks but to be expected. We had a blast adventuring in the van all over the island. We could not have asked for a better set up. This van is BIG. Less than an amazon truck my a foot or so i would say. So just make sure you’re comfortable driving bigger vehicles with minimal visibility. I drove ambulances back in the day so good for me.
