Windy is an almost new, 2021 Thor Four Winds 22E Class C motor home, built in the USA on a Ford E350 super duty chassis. It's a modern, easy-to-use motorhome that's as easy to drive as a large pickup truck! There is a very comfortable queen bed in the back, another queen sized sleeping area above the driver and passenger seats, and another sleeping area in the convertible dinette. The bathroom feels larger than expected for this size RV. We will complete a full walkthrough of how to use everything before your trip. So you can have a hassle-free trip and enjoy the journey! Ben did a fantastic job preparing the RV with tons of essentials and even nice-to-haves, like camp chairs, a Blackstone grill, cleaning supplies, first aid kit, outdoor carpet, mattress pad, coffee maker, etc. He communicated quickly and clearly before and especially during the rental. The binder of operating instructions provided with the RV was straightforward and very thoughtfully prepared. The RV itself was clearly well maintained and cleaned, and came with all necessary hoses and fixtures for easy hookups. It's a perfect size to maneuver nearly anywhere, and even as RV newbies we found it trivial to hook up, dump, and drive. If you drive a sedan normally it will take a little getting used to (especially the play in the steering and the engine noise), but that's completely typical of this class of RV/chassis. The vehicle and coach AC was ice cold, the generator worked reliably for many hours, and the propane stove was hot and lit easily every time.

We really enjoyed our trip with Windy! We are a family of four, two teenagers, and there was plenty of room for all of us. We went to Shenandoah and Washington DC. This was our second trip renting through Outdoorsy. Ben was great and explained everything. Pick up and drop off were seamless. FYI this camper is best with full hookups. Battery did not last all night. Highly recommend!

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
I'll go over all the different parts of operating the RV when we meet for the pickup of the RV. There's also a binder with infographics that I created with pictures from the RV to show you what to do.
Q.What should I do when I return the RV
A.
All you need to do is ensure that you have removed all of your personal items. Please don't remove the bedding, towels, mats, silverware, cookware or plates. Just pile up any of the used linens and towels in a convenient location and I'll wash them before the next rental.
I've had many well intentioned people try to be helpful by bringing things into their house to clean them when they return . Then they get forgotten when they come to return the RV.
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
The dates that you booked are important and I want to ensure that you can get the RV promptly for your adventure.
Pickup and drop off times are set when you complete the booking. Pickup is 3pm, and drop off is 11am. This allows me to have adequate time to clean and prep the vehicle before it goes out on it's next adventure. The times can be flexible, however it's not guaranteed.
Adjustments can be made for an additional fee of $50 per hour, earlier or later.
