Meet Daisy, our custom-built camper van. We built Daisy to help us and our two small kids stay traveling during the pandemic, and she's been a road warrior!
Daisy has:
- 5 seatbelts (two up front, bench seat sits 3 behind). The bench seat includes safety latches for car seats.
- A queen-sized bed with 10" memory foam mattress. Sleeps two adults comfortably.
- Two large storage benches inside for gear and clothing storage.
- A large storage clothing drawer just underneath the queen bed. About the size of a large suitcase.
- A pull-out dining table that is roomy for two, cozy for four.
- A pull out small bed that sleeps one child comfortably.
- A conversion set-up to turn the bench seat into a second bed for a kid.
- On-board power for lights, fan, charging devices, etc.
- A kitchen sink with water pump. Can use on-board water or connect to campground water source.
- Wooden cutting board surface for on-board meal-prep.
- A small "dorm" fridge that can be used while plugged into power at campsites.
- A ceiling fan to keep air moving. No A/C.
- The ability to be totally off-grid (using backup batteries for power) or the ability to plug in at campground power. The battery monitor on-board helps you track your usage so you don't run out.
