Our van is in this season of Law & Order! LOL! Check it out in S23 E03 “Filtered Life” :)‘Delta Ground' is a passport to parts unknown and off-grid (as well as bunch of well known spots you've got to check out).
She's a 2001 Ford E-350 Super Duty equipped with a powerful 6.8L, v10 Triton engine, which can easily carry two travelers and a ton of gear just about anywhere that doesn't require 4-wheel drive (and even some places that do). We're making the basic rig available for adventurers on a budget.
But, we also offer lots of add-ons for those that want to spend a little more on camping amenities.Standard Vehicle Features:

cookware / dish-ware / utensils
extra lights
lighter
firestarting materials
first aid kit
bug spray
road maps
toilet paper
books
cards & games
jumper cables
ratchet straps
and lots of miscellaneous things like, pens and bug sprayRaccomandazioniLocal stuff:
- Our first trip with Delta was to the Ninham Fire Tower at sunrise. Amazing views and hilarious graffiti.
- Kaaterskill Falls
- Lake OnteoraIf you're going the distance:
- look for dispersed camping locations and/or BLM areas (Bureau of Land Management) across the country - though they're much more concentrated out west.
- Go boon-docking at 'The Wall' in the South Dakota Badlands. One of the most stunning, freeing spots in the countryAltre cose di cui prendere notaGas:
Delta runs on SUPER PREMIUM GAS ONLY (91-93 octane) - lower octane fuel can damage the engine.Pets:
We're pet friendly, but experience dictates that we have to charge a cleaning fee. The fee will be $50 per factor.
i.e. licked windows, hair, kibble, persistent odor - would come out to a $200 fee.
But if we can see that you put in effort to clean, yet we still have to - the fee will be cut in half.Insurance:
NY State is one of the only states in the area that does not allow ride-sharing to be insured by personal auto insurance on the host side - but, as a renter, as long as your personal auto insurance covers rentals you are covered. We just need to see proof of insurance before you book.Solar:
you can charge a laptop, or run a low wattage fridge for hours, but one of our renters found that running a box fan all night drained the solar battery. But, if you follow our instructions and are mindful of your energy use, you shouldn't run into any problems (unless the sun does not come out at all during your trip).Hills:
When going down a steep road, please shift to a lower gear (to save the breaks)
This is an automatic, but here's a breakdown:
Drive: totally automatic
Overdrive-Off: (3rd gear) push little button on end of the shifter. for easy downhills. keeps you around 35-45mph (there's a little "off" light when pushed)
2nd gear: for steep downhills. keeps you around 25-35mph
1st gear: for super steep downhills. keeps you around 15-25mph

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
The pickup and drop off hours are flexible as long as there isn't a booking right before or right after yours.
