Coconuts is one of Campervan Hawaii’s coolest campervans in our fleet. It is custom built to have all the amenities you need to camp around The Big Island in style and is one of the only vans on The Big Island that has a quiet A/C system that can keep you cool all night without having to run the van or generator during the night. It has seating and sleeping for 2 and features a super comfy king sized bed, a full kitchen, toilet, fridge and freezer, great sound system, CarPlay and Android Auto, and solar heated water for an outdoor shower. You can check this vehicle out on our website to see a list of the basic equipment included with the van.There are a bunch of 12V and 120V outlets throughout the van so you can power pretty much anything you need and it also has tons of storage space for your luggage or toys. It has colorful LED lights which can set a great night time vibe when setting up camp. We supply this campervan with basic camping equipment but we do charge a per person fee of $9/day which supplies each person with: bedding linens, pillows, beach towels, bath towels, kitchenware, and camp chairs for each person. You can check out what’s included on our website as well as any additional add-ons you might want .Camping on the Big Island does require you to have a campsite for each night as there is no free camping. Check out the camping page on our website for more information and we will also provide you with our camping and itinerary guide once you book which shows you our recommended spots and how to book them.Als for an added cost, we also rent out a bunch of other camping equipment so check out the add-ons.*** Note *** - The rooftop AC will run on battery power all night but the vehicle has to be driven for 1-1.5 hours each day to recharge the batteries for the AC to be used each night. Otherwise there is plenty of power to keep cool with our vent fans and the night Hawaiian breeze. The $9 per person fee must be added by you during checkout. It is the first Add-on. If not added during checkout, then we will automatically add it to your reservation.Our location, 4 miles south of the airport at 73-4195 Hulikoa Drive, is a short taxi or rideshare ride away. There both taxis Uber/Lyft are readily available when you arrive.Also, when booking through Outdoorsy’s platform, you will be required to purchase insurance through them even if you have your own insurance that would cover this campervan rental.Thank you for checking out our campervan

"We started renting campervans out of our love for being on the road and sleeping in a different spot every night and are excited to share our favorite way to travel with other outdoor and van life enthusiasts. We’ve been exploring the mainland by van for over 20 years and love the freedom it provides. After our last extended vacation in our mainland home-on-wheels we realized it would be a great way to explore these island gems of Hawai'i! When home is where you park it, there are more hours to play the day away!"

Great experience with the campervan. It had everything we needed to be self sufficient. The team were responsive when we needed them. So good!

The Campervan was exactly as described and absolutely perfect! It drove well and was well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable, the AC worked great, the curtains provided privacy, and the outdoor shower provided warm shower at the end of the day. The extra touches didn’t go unnoticed…such as the headlamps and extra flashlights, clothesline, camp chairs, and electric fans - all of which got used. There were plenty of outlets for charging devices. Great for a solo traveler or couple. The electric tea pot, stove, and refrigerator all worked great.
