Smooth driving with mechanical issues
The van is generally easy to drive, comfortable with a cozy bed, and well-equipped with many essentials. However, it experienced multiple breakdowns, transmission issues, and issues with the sliding door, and lacked built-in power/water in some rentals.

5.0We had a wonderful experience renting Michaela’s van “Carlos Vantana” while exploring the west side of the island! The van performed perfectly and felt like a cozy home on wheels, thanks to Michaela equipping it with everything we needed—including towels and a portable shower that came in handy after beach days. We loved staying at Kapa’a Beach Park and Ho’okena Beach Park, waking up to stunning ocean views. Michaela was so friendly and welcoming when she showed us around the van, with prompt communication throughout. We highly recommend “Carlos Vantana” for a memorable van life trip!

5.0The camping van was perfect for the trip my son and I took in Hawaii. Camping at the Volcanos National Park, several beaches and driving across the island was a trip we won't forget. The owner is very accommodating (our flight was delayed 3 hours) and a delight to work with. The van has everything we need plus some. Highly recommend!!!
