Walk the marshy Gambusia Nature Trail Boardwalk at Sea Rim State Park, or seek out Warblers at Goose Island State Park.Enjoy the Piney Woods, and fish, hike, or bundle up and rent a canoe out at Huntsville State Park, which has some amazing facilities built more than a century ago by the Civilian Conservation Corps. In the same area, camp and explore the Sam Houston National Forest, which is the biggest forested area near Houston.Skip the cooking and trace the Texas Barbeque Trail. Wind your way through central Texas tasting the best barbeque to be found anywhere.
