2008 Mini Cooper Clubman
We love traveling in an RV but if you're heading somewhere and you want to explore the area the easiest way to do that is by pulling a "Toad" - a car behind the RV (AKA: Dingy, Tow Vehicle). The Road Toad is a Mini Cooper Clubman that can tow behind an RV. It's setup for Flat-Towing meaning you just hook it up behind your RV and it rolls down the road right behind you (you don't have to store a tow dolly which is nice). It includes the tow bar, the electric brake controller so when you brake the RV it brakes), and everything you need. It's really very easy to hook up/unhook giving you the freedom to roam around while leaving the RV set up at the campground. The Mini has everything you'd expect: Power window and locks, AC, a great stereo, a Sunroof, room for extra storage and gets 26 to 36 mpgThe Road Toad can be rented in conjunction with one of our RV's or you can rent it for one you own RV or one you have rented elsewhere. What you need to tow this:
1. An RV with a standard 2" receiver hitch (just the opening - you don't need a specific hitch, it's included).
2. The RV needs to be rated to tow 3000lbs (most RVs are rated to tow much higher than this)
3. The round 7pin electrical connection (standard if you have a receiver hitch on the RV).Heads up: It's a manual transmission (that's what makes it easily towed!) so you'll need to be proficient in shifting gears manually.

We started out tent camping, bought our 1st Pop-up at a Garage Sale and rebuilt it, moved on to a bigger Pop-up and then a Trailmanor. When we sold a house and had no place to store a camper we sold the camper and then went back to tent camping - while hiking tall mountains (Pike's Peak & Mt. Whitney were amazing!). Then while doing a few days on the Appalachian Trail a horrific thunderstorm seemed to take away some of the zest for tent camping for my wife and we came back to campers! Love helping people take their first camping trip and experiencing the outdoors.
