2014 Forest River Coachmen Freedom Express

I want to start off by saying our host was incredibly nice and easy to work with. They delivered and picked up the RV quickly. I would have loved though a little more instruction on the RV it's self, but he did say they lived close and we could call anytime.. they also kindly filled the water tank for us, as we had no water hook-ups. Where we ran into the issue is with cleanliness! When the RV was dropped off I asked multiple times if it was cleaned and I was assured it was. It's an RV that's used for camping so my expectations were not extremely high in this category but it was pretty gross. For an RV that is used for a rental I would expect to have some space in the cupboards and closets to store things as we were in it for it a week.. I had to make space amongst their belongs to store our items and food as many spaces were filled. To store our food, I literally had to clean the first day of our trip because the place was pretty dirty and things we're thrown into places.. the bed linens were dirty and I even had them take one piece of bedding with them as there was still physical dirt on it and I'm pretty sure was not cleaned (thank goodness we brought our own).. we were told the toilet was emptied but we used only a handful of times and you could see the waste when you flushed and the meter said it was full.. he did say he would come and empty it if it filled up, but we were packed into the lot at this point and also didn't want to pack up for it to be moved so we just used the out house the rest of the trip. We are new to the RV world so I'm not sure if my expectations were just a little to high still. There were a few others that rented theirs that did not have the same experience though. We paid the same amount to rent the RV as a we would have a hotel room, so I would expect that it should be held to the same standards. I really wish I could have gave an awesome review on this experience, but after giving it some thought, I hope they make some changes so the next family can have a better experience than we did.
