2022 Cross Trail

My experience with this rental was extremely disappointing and raised serious safety and reliability concerns. The listing indicated pickup in Downey, but after booking, I was informed that pickup and drop-off would need to take place in Glendale. This resulted in unnecessary travel and additional mileage charges. Upon arrival, the host was not present, and I was instead given a walkthrough by a child, which was not appropriate for a rental of this nature. Several key items advertised were not functional, including the TVs, and the exterior awning was broken. The interior of the RV did not match the listing photos and appeared to be a completely different unit. It was also not properly cleaned, the refrigerator was dirty, and there were personal items, including socks and empty water bottles, left in one of the sleeping areas. More concerning were the safety issues. The RV did not have a spare tire, and during the trip, I experienced a flat. A technician confirmed the tires were worn, cracked, and unsafe. I lost an entire day trying to locate a rare replacement tire, as none were readily available. The host provided no meaningful support and simply directed me to contact Outdoorsy. To make matters worse, I ensured the RV was cleaned and that both the black and grey water tanks were fully emptied prior to return, yet the host still claimed otherwise and appeared to use this as justification to offer minimal compensation for the tire issue. As of now, I am still waiting for Outdoorsy and the host to reimburse me for the tire replacement and other related expenses caused by these issues. Overall, this experience fell well below basic expectations in terms of safety, cleanliness, accuracy of the listing, and customer support. I would strongly encourage others to thoroughly verify the condition and details of the RV before booking.
