2022 Winnebago Revel - Adventures of Earl Grey

Nick’s Revel is in excellent condition - very clean, fresh, and clearly well maintained. The upgraded suspension and off-road tires make the ride super smooth, even on rough terrain. The solar panels keep everything powered, which is perfect for remote stops. Communication with Nick is easy and clear, and everything needed for the trip is already in the van. Great setup and experience.

The Earl Grey takes a trip to Yosemite, Upper Pines campground. We have tent camped at Yosemite many times. This was our first time ever renting a camper. We have been following the Mercedes Sprinter conversion industry for several years and decided on the Revel as we felt more comfortable the first time out with a factory-built camper. The Earl Grey was a joy to drive and camp in. The interior is a bit tight inside for two older adults, but the comfort of not having to walk to the bathroom at 2am far out weights that. The systems work great. Hot water, lights, etc. Nick was unavailable for the week we rented, so we were introduced to and interfaced with Allen. We had a small problem with the awning and a slightly leaking macerator pump. Both issues were responded to and handled quickly. With the awning, pulled out the fuse, replaced, problem solved. Very Nice. Would we rent the Earl Grey again. Yes. Were we happy and satisfied with Allen and our renting experience. Again, Yes. Included is a picture of the Earl Grey in Upper Pines site 180 with a slight view Glacier Point through the trees towering in the background.

Overall a great experience. We rented for our trip to Sequoia in July with our 3 year old. Nick answered all my questions in preparation for our trip and stayed in touch during the trip for tech support. We also wanted to buy one and Nick’s rig really helped us test compatibility with our family size and use. We have some future trips planned for winter testing and will rent from nick again. For summer, can’t rely on the batteries to run the AC. We mostly just used the vans a/c instead of the roof ac, and it was able to reach all the way back to the bed area during the day around 98 degrees outside. At night, temps come down and the batteries will be okay with the AC on low auto which only had to kick on a few times a night for a minute each time. And we also used no AC one night and just the roof fan at night too which cools the unit just fine.

Whole rental process was easy and smooth. Nick was great and responded swiftly when we has a question about turning a light off. The winnebago in general was great and so easy to use!
