This…is a 2020 Taxa Outdoors Woolly Bear or the “Woolly Wookie” as our family calls it! This trailer is far more than just a trailer! The Woolly Wookie is the basecamp you’ve always dreamed of. Features include a full-size outdoor kitchen, storage systems, pull-out cooler drawer (with 12v plug for electric coolers), and an elevated platform that accommodates a comfortable Tepui Kukenam 3-person tent (we are able to fit our family of 4 inside with comfort). It’s packed full of as much innovation as it is trail-ready gear. Given the abundance of storage drawers, this Wookie can carry all the gear you need whether you’re camping on a lake to fish, spending time with some kayaks on the water, or heading deep into the forests to find your next adventure it will keep going! At only 1200 pounds dry, this Woolly Wookie is so light-weight you will never know it’s behind your vehicle and is capable of being towed by most 4 and 6 cylinder vehicles! The off-road suspension, articulating hitch, and stabilizers mean you can go deeper on the trails. The ruggedized tent that sets up in two minutes up top allows incredible views of the nightsky for gazing. The awning allows breaks from the sun or heat while you cook and it includes a net to keep out bugs if you need it. With an onboard battery, storage for propane and fresh water, you can reliably spend a few days "off the grid" exploring!Cosa è inclusoIncluded are 4 camping chairs (2 adult, 2 child), 2 pillows, sheet, and blanket. We highly recommend dispersed camping on BLM land , or finding local state parks with tent sites. The Woolly Wookie fits within every "tent" camping site that we have found that does not require "hiking in" to the campsite. The Wookie has stayed at Zion National Park, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Canyonlands, Rocky Mountain, Black Canyon, Carlsbad, White Sands, Great Sand Dunes, Arches, Roswell and so so so many more places full of adventure. We're a family of 4 who recently moved to the Western part of the United States and discovered a deep passion for camping and the outdoors! We're hoping to instill a sense of adventure to our two young kids while showing them how best to take care of our tiny blue dot that we live on. Our greatest adventures are exploring National Parks, State Parks, and other beauties of the Rocky Mountains, stargazing, and camping under the stars and beyond!
Our favorite trip so far has included a trip to Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, and Zion National Park in Utah! The Woolly Wookie has allowed us to take adventures when we want to and be able to have everything we need to enjoy the great outdoors!
