RaccomandazioniA few of our favorite spots we have taken this trailer:Heery Woods State Park, Clarksville, IowaSits right along the Shell Rock River with a boat ramp, a dam, and good fishing for smallmouth bass, catfish, and walleye. There is a paved bike trail connecting to nearby towns and a hiking trail that also allows horses. It is $20 a night if you show up without a reservation, $25 if you book online.Fontana Park, Hazleton, IowaFull hookups on the Lakeside loop for $30 a night, plus a live animal display with owls, hawks, a coyote, a fox, and a bobcat within walking distance of the campsites. There are also hiking trails and a nice walk out to the dam.Big Woods Lake Campground, Cedar FallsManaged by Black Hawk County Conservation on the edge of an 86 acre lake with no wake boating and good fishing for largemouth bass, panfish, walleye, and northern pike. There are 55 full hookup sites and it connects right into the Cedar Valley Trail system, so it is an easy pick if you want to bike into downtown Cedar Falls.Black Hawk Park, Cedar FallsOne of the largest county parks in Iowa at nearly 1,500 acres along the Cedar River. Two campgrounds here, Fogdall and Cedar, with a mix of full hookup and electric sites. Great for fishing, hiking, and biking. Note that this one is first come, first served with no reservations, so have a backup plan if you want to camp here on a busy weekend.George Wyth State Park, between Waterloo and Cedar FallsAn urban wildlife sanctuary with camping, over 10 miles of trails, and fishing and boating across four lakes. The campground has electric and non-electric sites, showers, and a dump station, plus direct access to the Cedar Valley Trail network. All five are family and dog friendly and make for easy trips whether you want a short drive close to home or a bit further out for a weekend getaway. Hi, I'm Aaron. My family and I love traveling and fishing, and camping is how we do most of it. We got into this after a trip to Glacier National Park in my parents' camper years ago, and it stuck with us ever since. We own the 2025 Coleman 17B you will be renting. We use it ourselves for trips around Iowa and beyond, so it is clean, well maintained, and genuinely camp-ready. We started renting it out to help introduce more people to camping without going through a big corporate fleet. We deliver, set up, and pick up the trailer ourselves, so you never have to tow it or back it into a site. Just show up and camp. Whether this is your first time in an RV or not, we are happy to help however we can. Message us anytime with questions, before, during, or after your trip.
