Salish is a 2020 Pleasure Way Ontour 2.0. Built on the Ford Transit 2500 chassis, the Ontour 2.0 features the fuel efficient 3.5L EcoBoost® engine and measures 19′ 8″ long. The Ontour 2.0 benefits from 78″ of headroom and an enormous 77″ long rear bed. You can expect 14-16 mpg depending on terrain and your driving style. Creature comforts include a toilet and shower, two speed 16000 btu externally vented propane forced air furnace and large high efficiency electric refrigerator. The electric induction stove and a small microwave makes meal prep fast and efficient. There is ample counter space for meal preparation. This van is powered by two 100amp hour Lithium Ion batteries and has 200 amp hour solar panels mounted on the roof. There is also an Onan 2.0 generator for off grid camping. Safety features include 3 point seat belts, air bags in the front and two 3 point belts in the rear. While the van has four seat belts there is only room to sleep two adults. The van you pick up will be spotless with all dishes cleaned in a dishwasher.We purchased Salish with our long distance travel customers in mind and it comes with a 120 mile per day average mileage allowance. Extra miles are charged at $.35 per mile. This van must be rented for a minimum of 5 nights and to a maximum of 2 adults for comfort. There is no provision for mounting bikes or paddle boards on this van. Until Salish has been lifted and all terrain tires installed later this year it is for developed campground use only.

Having spent many years camping, backpacking, climbing and skiing all around the world, we have finally found our ideal mode of travel and we want to share it with others.
Our typical trip involves travel over the North Cascades Highway, out in the San Juan Islands or up in British Columbia for some camping in out of the way locations. We often look for forest service or back country campgrounds. We are usually completely alone and we are able to find a campground near a stream or lake so that we can enjoy some fly fishing while we are there. The Westfalia van complete with full kitchen and forced air propane furnace allows us to enjoy or vans throughout the year no matter what the weather.
