Overall very pleasant experience! RV has nice features as indicated, and was a good value for our trip to WI and back. Pickup and dropoff worked well, the owners were easy to deal with, and the unit was tidy and clean. Beds were in very good condition. We have rented many different RV’s in the last 10 years, usually ones with a few years on them to get good value, and we were surprised to find this one had more wear on the interior fixtures despite being newer. Nothing that interfered with the trip; just prior renters not being careful. A damaged drawer; a broken bunk ladder bracket; a damaged skylight, window blinds for example. So we encouraged the owner to be direct with renters about the condition they expect the unit to be in upon return and don’t hesitate to use security deposits to fix things that get damaged so the RV stays fresh! The advice was given and received in a positive manner. Be clear if you want a full fresh water tank to start, and know how they want it returned. Bring your own linens and towels. We’ll include this owner’s RV’s in our search for next year’s trip!

I would not rent this RV again based on my experience. When I picked up the RV on Sunday, July 5, I met someone who introduced himself as VJ. I later learned this was not true and that his name was actually Kumar. When I returned the RV, I was met by a different individual who identified himself as VJ. I found it alarming that there was confusion over who the actual host was and who was responsible for the rental. During the walkthrough, I pointed out that the low tire pressure warning light was already illuminated on the dashboard. I was told it was just a faulty sensor and not to worry about it. Based on that explanation, I accepted the RV. I also noticed that the oil change sticker appeared to be outdated and overdue by several thousand miles, which raised additional concerns about the overall maintenance and upkeep of the RV. The air conditioning worked when we left Monday morning, but as we drove farther south it stopped blowing cold air completely. In the middle of summer, this made the trip very uncomfortable. The RV also shook and vibrated noticeably at speeds above approximately 60 mph on both the trip down and the drive home. It did not inspire confidence that the vehicle was in good mechanical condition. Upon returning to the area, it was discovered that one of the rear inner tires was damaged. This further reinforced my concern that the excessive shaking and instability I experienced while driving may have been related to an existing mechanical or maintenance issue with the RV. The RV’s interior also did not match the listing photos. The condition was significantly more worn than advertised, and the listing gave a much better impression than the RV’s actual condition. The most concerning part happened when I returned the RV. I was asked if I wanted to pay cash for the extra mileage and generator usage instead of paying through Outdoorsy. I found this extremely alarming. I declined and made it clear that I would only pay through the Outdoorsy platform. I expect all rental charges to be handled transparently through the booking platform, not off the record. Overall, this experience raised multiple red flags: confusion over the host’s identity, a tire pressure warning that existed before pickup, outdated maintenance information, an air conditioning failure, severe vibration while driving, an RV that did not match the listing photos, and a request for off-platform cash payment. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this rental.

The host was wonderful with my last minute request. I had a large family to take out of town and my first 2 choices were cancelled. This was further out but I appreciate everything this guy did to assist me. The vehicle was in great shape and the drive was smooth. Thank you again for everything!
