The rental was beautiful and felt like brand new. The water heater was down which we were notified in advance and the owner was very accommodating with a bookstore, extra blankets and extra storage which was actually great because then we cooked outside in Alaskas beauty and snuggled a little closer at night. I would be happy and plan to book this rental again next year if its available!

It's hard to overstate how wonderful our time in Alaska was with this van. The freedom it gave us was nothing short of transformative for my son and me - we chased glaciers, wandered wherever the road called, and saw a side of Alaska we never could have from one home base. This trip will be one we talk about for years. April had everything dialed in: cozy bedding, utensils, and every little thing we needed was already waiting for us. Her walkthrough of the van was thorough and friendly - where everything was, how it all worked, and exactly what you'd want to know for a smooth trip. It made us feel confident from mile one. Van life may not be for everyone, but for us it was the IDEAL way to experience Alaska. I'd say the van is best suited for 2 people (like all vans this size), though the pop-up bunk on top can sleep a third. We skipped the bunk and kept the big bed in the back deployed the entire trip - perfect for stashing our gear while rolling from place to place. Overall, an absolutely fantastic experience, and April is a gem of a host - warm, responsive, and clearly someone who cares about her guests. We hope we can call her a friend in Anchorage. If you're on the fence about this van: don't be. Book it.
