2022 Keystone Spring Dale

Our hosts set up the RV prior to our arrival. When we arrived at the RV, there was no heat on and the temperature was in the 50s. The thermostat was not working, so we reached out to the host for advice. We were told “everything was working when we left“ and to try two or three different things, which did not work. While there was an electric fireplace, it left one of us hot, but the others freezing cold for two nights sleep. Second, there was a TV in the listing as well as the photos which had been removed. We rented the RV for a football weekend and was very frustrated that there was no way to watch football. Third, the refrigerator and microwave did not work. Fourth, after only four showers, the gray water started to back up into the shower, including brown water. Our host told us the problems we were having “leans more towards user error “, implying everything was our fault, as well as telling us that we used too much water for our showers! On the morning we were leaving, a neighbor in the RV park was able to troubleshoot what the electrical problem was. He noted that the electrical plug (that the host plugged in) was not getting full power and moved it to a different plug outside. When we did so, the heat, refrigerator, and microwave started working. While I fully admit that we are not used to the operating of a RV, my assumption is that our hosts should have suggested to look at the outside plug, rather than exploring the fuse, circuit breaker, and accusing us of “user error”. I understand that things can happen beyond our control, but at no point did the host express empathy or apologize for our situation. Had they done so, this view would’ve been much better despite the problems that we had. And to top it all off, they texted that they would be looking for “water damage due to overflowing shower and sink “ blaming us for the fact that we were never told to limit water usage and that the sewer water was backing up into the shower. The RV itself is very nice, but due to the way the hosts treated us, I would sincerely recommend that no one ever consider renting this RV in the future.

We enjoyed our stay using Brandon’s camper. It was decently stocked and was nice to have them set it up. Towels and linens were provided which was nice. The floor was a bit dirty and seemed like it could have used a mopping but we also had a little one which made me think of it. Otherwise the camper seemed clean.

Everything was perfect. Hosts were really helpful. Delivery and set up was flawless. Camper was very comfortable and well equipped.

Brandon's RV was a great size, newer, clean, and came with everything we needed, both inside and out. He set it all up, so we just showed up and enjoyed a low-key camping week!
