1) Passengers in a Vander camper shall not exceed the number of seatbelts designated in the listing. For example, the Cascade camper is designed for two people, who must travel in the front seats wearing seatbelts. The rear bench is not equipped with DOT-approved safety belts, and cannot be used while the vehicle is in motion. 2) Roadside assistance coverage is mandatory for all rentals. Provide documentation of equivalent coverage (AAA membership, insurance policy, etc) for the duration of the reservation to Vander within 48 hours of booking to waive the Vander-provided roadside assistance coverage. 3) Call roadside assistance for any mechanical issue (change tire, jump battery, etc). The renter is liable for all damages and expenses incurred due to unauthorized attempts to repair a Vander-owned vehicle. 4) Vander campervans are not "overland" or "off-road" vehicles. The vans must be operated on recognized and maintained roads (dirt, gravel, blacktop, etc) during the rental period. Do not drive the van off road, ford deep water, or enter muddy terrain. In the event that a vehicle is returned with signs of off-road use, the security deposit will be held pending assessment of necessary repair and cleaning expenses. 5) Some Vander campervans are equipped with a hitch to accommodate a Vander-provided bike rack mount. Do not connect any non-Vander equipment or trailers to the campervan. 6) Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited in Vander campervans. Any noticeable smell will result in an automatic $300 cleaning fee. 7) The possession, use, transportation, or distribution of any illegal goods or substances in Vander vehicles is strictly prohibited. 8) Do not stand, sit, walk, crawl on, or access the roofs of the campervans.
