Aloha and Welcome! Born and raised on Kauai, I have traveled a bit and lived in Japan and Oregon. As of 2021, we are now based out of Honolulu and Kauai. Overall, the car was in good shape. A few things to note-- there should be an early pickup/late drop-off fee if your rental times fall outside of the owner's preferred window (not described in the listing-- i really only went with this vehicle over another was because it seemed like the times were more flexible, without additional fees). Outdoorsy didn't charge me for it, so the owner manually charged for only one (communicated via messaging beforehand). Another thing to be aware of is that most camping sites do not allow this style of camping. That's something I was misinformed on from by other rental companies, but I thought all would work out since this rental came with a ground tent + supplies. The tent was relatively okay (a bit dirty with some stains), but the sleeping pad did not stay inflated... I think it may be missing a plug, so we ended up having to just sleep on the ground.

Justins camper was awesome. He accommodated us at the last minute after a different cancellation. It was a great vehicle and he was easy to communicate with. 100% recommend

Justin was very responsive when we had to book a different camper when our original host canceled our booking during our flight to the island. He answered texts and met us within a couple hours of booking.
His van is perfectly sufficient for cruising and camping around Oahu and it has the right patina to blend in and have an authentic experience.

Kauai is an awesome island and doing camping is definetly a very good way to get the Feeling of this beautiful place
