Hi there, My name is Keira and I'm the owner and operator of Low Tide Vans. I've been fortunate enough to spend my whole life on Vancouver Island, enjoying all of the outdoor activities that this beautiful place has to offer since a young age. Surfing, skiing, cycling, hiking and more! I originally built out a campervan for personal use, but quickly decided I wanted to share with others so they too could experience van life on Vancouver Island. As a mechanical engineer and the builder of my vans, I know them inside and out, and take great pride in every detail of the build. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have, and would love to provide trip recommendations! What a great Experience for our trip as a whole. Keira was nice and easy to chat and deal with great person and the walk through was easy, with a you tube video to help once very thorough.
This Van just made everything work perfect, pull over and catch first come first serve camping spots and regular camping grounds as well. Easy to pull in park and set everything up comfy bed and when it rained the last 3 days it was just nice to have the stove and fully set up kitchen with all the basics needed to get through our week ish trip.

Our host, Keira, was such a pleasure to work with. In the weeks before our arrival, she fielded many random questions promptly, and gave us recommendations regarding campgrounds and places to see. The pick-up went seamlessly, with a short but efficient walk through. The van was in excellent condition, and the layout was easy to get used to. Some of our camping locations were a bit cool, but the interior heater took the chill off very quickly. During the trip, we were responsible for damaging the cooktop, and Keira was very forgiving, telling us not to worry. Upon our return, she had already ordered and received the replacement, and trusted us to reimburse her upon the installation, which she accomplished in short order. At our drop-off, she even gave us a lift to our nearby accommodation before our departure the next day. All-in-all, our experience with Keira and her beautiful RV was exceptional.

We had a fantastic experience renting this van for our trip around Vancouver Island. The van was clean, comfortable, reliable, and perfectly set up for exploring the island, making our adventure effortless from start to finish.

we had this van for a full week travelling all over the island,, and it was exactly what we were hoping for! the van never let us down, and we pushed it pretty hard. the bed is super comfy, the solar panels covered all our power needs quite easily, and the no-setup on arrival to a campsite was a huge plus. we would happily consider renting the van again, and would recommend it to anyone!

We travelled for a week in Keira's Sprinter van and had an excellent time! The van has tons of room, a most comfortable mattress, a great kitchen area, and is pretty easy to navigate. Would highly recomment to others loving van life!

We took a short trip from Victoria to Gabriola Island with the ‘Juan de Fuca’ Wondervan, and had such a cozy trip! The details like the wood panelling, large bed, string lights, and heater made it hard to get out of bed in the morning. We were so appreciative of the amount of kitchen supplies, fridge, and propane stove to whip up some delicious meals.

My experience with the campervan was wonderful, but the review is for the host. Keira went out of her way to make our trip the best it could be. I really think our experience would have been much different if it weren't for Keira's communication, flexibility, and kindness. Thank you and we can't wait to get back to Vancouver Island.

We had a great experience with the ‘Juan de Fuca’ van and Keira! We rented the Van for 10 nights in September. Keira was very kind and great to communicate with. She was always quick to reply to messages, and kindly provided us with a detailed message on recommendations and tips which was super helpful!
The van had everything we needed and is set up great! All we had to bring along was clothes and food. Bed was super comfy, the cooker and fridge/cooler worked well, there was plenty of room under the bed for storing things, it was a consistently good temperature inside the van and surprisingly easy on gas for a V8. We highly recommend and will definitively rent again in future.

I unfortunately had to cancel my booking with Phil, as there was an electrical issue that started the day before the rental which made the van unsafe to drive. This issue how now been fully resolved. Sorry Phil!

We rented Keira’s Big Black Campervan for 5 nights in Tofino and had a blast! This was our first time traveling with a “home on wheels” and it was such an easy, stress free way to go. The van is really spacious for two people and the bed is super comfortable! We really appreciated all the extra touches like cards, crib board and frisbee, which we forgot to bring. Thanks Keira for sharing your campervan with us. We will definitely rent her again!

Keira and her campervan Wanda were absolutely delightful. Wanda is much more adorable in person - from the fairy lights to the knitted decor and matching throw pillows and accented towels. It was very comfortable and tranquil to sleep in. This van has everything you need, don't worry about packing much else. The tires on Wanda are also very impressive, and allows you to do a bit more rugid camping if needed. This van had more than we had asked for.
Keira as a host was even better. Her communication was great and she offered lots of flexibility for our trip. Each trip itinerary is unique and so this was extremely appreciated and helped us make the most of our adventure. Beyond the itinerary, Keira was very kind, agreeable and patient with us during the check-out process. If she'd have us again we would definitely rent from her again. Thanks for the awesome trip!

The campervan was awesome! We were surprised that even though we camped at a provincial campground, we still had access to lighting, a cold refrigerator and working stove, all because of the amazing solar panels installed on the van. The bed was very comfy, and the van contained all the necessary plus additional supplies too.
Keira was great, and very quick to respond to any communications.
We would definitely rent the campervan again.
