We had a wonderful time and camping was awesome experience.. Jesse was a wonderful host. His camper was immaculately clean and NO surprising odors.
We certainly will consider Jesse the next time we are camping in Montana.

This was our first experience with Outdoorsy. Our first rental cancelled on us and so we chose this one. (That's another story!) While the camper was clean and suited us for our needs, we were extremely disappointed in the lack of communication from the owner. A week before our trip, I asked about linens, etc. and they are not provided. Nowhere in the listing is there a list of what is provided and what is not. We live over 300 miles from the listing and needed to know what to bring. On top of that, the owner was not present for pickup or drop off of the rental. There is nothing in the unit with instructions on how to use anything or to hook up anything. This is contrary to Outdoorsy's email (in part) Remember to ask questions and get a feel for how the RV works on your walkthrough. Some important topics to discuss include:
•Water and electric hookups
•Operating the kitchen appliances
•Leveling and other setup requirements
•How to operate the heat and air
•Starting and stopping the generator (if applicable)
It's a good thing my husband knew how to hook it up to our truck and our relatives could help with other hookups once we got there because there were no instructions.
Because the owner was not present for pick up, the unit was unlocked when we arrived to pick it up. We locked the door for travel and when we arrived at our destination, the lock was jammed and I had to crawl through the bunk beds to get in every time the outside door was closed. The owner didn't seem concerned at all on this when I notified him. It's a good thing I could fit through that crawl space or we would have had to damage the door to get in.
Again, the owner was not present for drop off and our instructions were to just leave the keys on the counter. It took 7 days to receive an email from Outdoorsy our damage deposit was released (and could take 5-7 days to hit our card) when it's supposed to be with a few days.
Based on this experience and the experience with the first rental cancelling on us without notifying Outdoorsy or refunding our deposit on it, we most likely won't rent again.
