About Raychel's RV rentals
We have been married for 27 years and have traveled all over the US in various RV's over the years from a simple pop up to the 33 foot trailer we have now. We have 3 kids that knew how to hitch a trailer before they knew how to cook an egg. We've lived in RV's while we have built and remodeled houses and know how to make them comfortable for ourselves and our guests. If you have any questions about camping or travel we can most likely answer from experience.

We pay insurance to insure that there is no problem w/ the trailer, but yet the awing was broken. why would you rent something that is not 100%. they offered us a popup, really, and the gray water tank was just about full. that wasn't cool either. at least is comfortable sleeping conditions.

The owners were great in their response time to my messages. The trailer itself was roomy and well equipped. A couple wear and tear items, like broken vents on the floor that you could cut yourself on (I had to cover them with rugs so my kids' feet wouldn't get cut), and the outside shade was broken and not usable (that was disclosed when we arrived). My BIGGEST complaint is that the propane alarm kept going off around evening shower time, and very early in the morning. We had a few nights with hardly any sleep!! We had to contact and explain this to the owner numerous times. The owner's solution was to "cut the power line" to the sensor alarm so it would stop going off at random times. This was not a suitable solution for safety reasons!!!!! My husband (who is an electrical and mechanical engineer, who problem solves for a living) spent hours trying to find the problem. He sent numerous texts, and was on the phone numerous times with the owner. NOT the way you want to spend your vacation. The only solution was to turn off the propane which meant no heater at night when it was freezing cold and no hot water. We only turned it on when we used the showers. As we checked out of the trailer, the owner and I discussed the issues again as she prepped the trailer to take it to the next renter. We discussed her looking at the information and giving me a discount on our stay because of the alarm issues. A few days later, and this was her last communication with me:
ME:
"Hi Raychel,
Have you had a chance to look at the insurance information, and a discount for the alarm going off so much, and Zak having to spend so much time trying to trouble shoot.
Thanks so much!!"
OWNER:
"I did contact Outdoorsy and the insurance can not be refunded after the trip as the camper was covered while it was in your possession for any damage not just towing or accident insurance. I do appreciate the inconvenience of the alarm going off but we have found no mechanical issues or problems with the system since then in order to say with confidence it was not operating appropriately. Since we already waived the delivery fee I am not inclined to add more of a discount. If you wish to dispute this you may contact Outdoorsies dispute dept and file with them."
ME:

Had a great trip! Don was very supportive and was on time! Highly recommend this trailer for a family of 3 to 7. Plenty of space!

This trailer was awesome. We had such a good time . We ran into a little snag but Rachel and her husband responded immediately. You can't ask for anything more. My buddy had to tow his trailer all the way back to San Diego from Bishop and then clean everything. I was home before him and I didnt have to do anything. What a deal.

Raychel and Don are amazing! The drop-off and pickup was super convenient and easy. The RV was very clean and we had no problems with it throughout our stay. We would rent this again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend!

Very nice , large , fancy rig! Unfortunately, the rental has an electrical problem that was not disclosed until the very last minute when I asked about microwave and coffee maker. They mentioned the electrical problem and blamed the last renters for not knowing how to properly use the heater. We could only use power for 20 mins without being plugged into generator, which we had to bring our own generator. The electrical drain caused the CO2 sensor to beep until the batteries were disconnected or plugged back into generator. So either sleep with the beep or zero power. It was not possible to sleep while running off batteries, it was not possible to run heater unless the rig was plugged into a power source. We got no sympathy or discount . It was a nice large fancy trailer , very nice , only usable at camp sites with electric hook ups. Very nice people. Get your short fixed or disclose upfront that the trailer has to be plugged in. The rbv was clean and exactly what we had expected. Raychel was helpful and always responded. We had a great time. Would recommend for a family trip.
