About Spenser And Janet's RV rentals
We are Spenser & Janet! We are avid travelers and have owned everything from a 1996 VW Eurovan to a Coachman Prism slideout class c and finally ended up with a Travato 59G. We lived in this Travato for 2 straight months last year while traveling up and down the west coast and out to Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. We also regularly take this beauty to Yosemite, Crater Lake, Tahoe and up and down the west coast whenever we can get a weekend or longer away. This is a great RV that has everything you could possibly need for your travels and is incredibly comfortable to drive and live in. If you have any questions as all please don't hesitate to ask. The rig is raised which has its advantages but I’m not sure if that affected the handling but it felt extremely unstable when you go past 50 mph. The unit starts to fishtail. Spencer said that they will get it inspected so I’m sure that it’ll be fixed.
This unit was handed to us with a low house battery and it didn’t charge up the entire trip. Turns out that the previous renter had tripped the converter and the AC fuse. So unfortunately we were not able to use any of the amenities that we wanted to try. The lights went out on the second day even though we were hooked to shore power. Heater didn’t work. Water heater didn’t work. We couldn’t start the generator. Wish we had this checked before we signed the paperwork. This wasn’t intentional at all and you shouldn’t take my advice as a sign to not rent out. Just make sure you do all of the inspection before you start your trip so this can be avoided.
