About Doug's RV rentals
We completed building our van about 4 years ago and have loved it! We've used it mainly for weekend getaways, but LOVED Niagara Falls in the Winter, Spring Training in Florida, and overnights at a couple vineyards.

My husband and I had so much fun traveling the NC East coast! The van had everything we needed and Doug was really friendly and communicated great!

We loved our van trip!! Doug’s van was perfect for our Outer Banks adventure. The simplicity of the systems (water pump and gray water, solar panels re-charged the battery each day which was awesome!), slept like a baby and drove great! The Max Fan kept us cool even at the beach in June! The bed is super comfy and Doug has provided everything you could need. We were so glad to have our pups with us and the van was easy to keep neat. We wanted to explore the idea of having a van and this left us wanting more!! We recommend it whole heartedly!

What a wonderful van experience. Communication and flexibility were spot on with Doug. The van has been fitted out to be very comfortable and offers great ease of use. The solar power was amazing, and the efficient kitchen set up allowed me purchase fresh fish each day for dinner/lunch/breakfast. Hands down - Doug’s van is the way to explore the barrier islands and beyond.

Rental was very clean and well appointed. Prompt and friendly replies to all my questions. Super nice folks. Pick up and drop off was a breeze. Overall completely satisfied!

We had a great first experience with a camper van. Outdoorsy and Doug were great to work with and the van worked beautifully. Best night's sleep we've had in a long time on that king size bed and the solar powered features worked great.

This was my first adventure in a converted van - and it was great. This van is nicely done, quiet, drives great and the bed is super comfortable. Solar/battery worked great - never dropped below 77% battery using fridge, roof fan, lights, etc. Got back to 100% within about 2 hours after the sun came up. I'd definitely recommend.

The rental went super smoothly. Anne and her husband helped us with any concerns and even made suggestions that helped make our trip better. The camper itself is simple but well thought out. The mattress might even be more comfortable than the one I have at home.
