I am a lover of traveling. Seeing the world, seeing the country we live in and experiencing all that it offers. For as long as I can remember I've wanted to go on a roadtrip cross country in an RV. I tried several times with friends, but it didn't happen. Last year, I made it happen. My Dad and I bought this beauty, fixed her up and traveled out west for 2 months (Dad-3 weeks)with my dog, Henry. It was one of the best experiences and accomplishments of my life. Now I have the bug... living on the road is now in my soul. So while we're not using Dolores we want to rent her out so other people can have that same awesome feeling. xoxoxo

We had a great time using Delores. No real issues with the vehicle. The vehicle is older so if someone is expecting perfection and straight off the showroom glitz this is not the vehicle for you but if your looking for casual carefree fun this is the vehicle for you. We even had a few people try to buy the vehicle off of us due to their nostalgia. The vehicle decorations were very cute and we had hours of enjoyment looking at the old school map/blind and learning new/old facts about the United States.

We had such an amazing time “glamping” in Delores!! Emily and her dad were a pleasure to work with and we will definitely be renting from them again!

Highly recommend renting Dolores. Fun to drive, comfortable, exceptionally clean. Emily and her dad are helpful and kind. My first Outdoorsy experience exceeded expectations.

Dolores is exactly what it says she is - a vintage non luxurious RV and with any "classic" vehicle, you'll need to expect random things can happen and will happen more than if you paid for a newer model rental. She is neat and tidy and cute in the inside (7 year old niece thinks its the perfect house). Stocked nicely with random things to help on your trip. Bathroom is small but we used showers at the bath house . AC works fabulously and kept us cool when needed.

A lot of the issues we had are typical of an older vehicle, which we have listed below.
A/C in the cab was insufficient for a long drive on a hot day
Exhaust fumes were strong outside & inside when we opened the windows for a cross breeze, while driving
The rattling noise was extremely loud especially on rough highways
The steering was challenging making it difficult to maintain your lane
The brakes worked effectively although squeaked a lot
All doors needed slammed hard in order to close & lock;, we arrived at the KOA late in the evening, we didn’t want to disturb other campers.
Emily & her Dad Ken were very friendly & helpful, couldn’t have met nicer people!
Ken was made aware of the issues we had, & is working on making things better!
We texted with a small problem, Emily was quick to get back to us!
The RV air conditioning unit was very efficient when parked & plugged in at a KOA
Toilet worked well & was odor free; we even used the shower
Holding tanks worked very well & drained properly
Lots of windows & screens for ventilation when we had a breeze while parked & allowed a lot of light inside during the day
The custom front window covering was great for privacy & easy to put in place
The decorating inside was tastefully done & cute, making it a cozy space while parked at the KOA
Having an RV during the Covid Pandemic was reassuring & safe compared to a Motel.

We are very sorry to hear that your trip was less than above average. My Dad and I do our absolute best to make the rental and use of our RV as comfortable as possible. Nonetheless, some things are just out of our hands as Dolores is still a 30+ year old motor home and has her qualities and imperfections. We had an absolute blast. Dolores is an oldie but a goodie. She ran great though a bit loud. All the quirks are totally expected with a 30+ year old RV. We loved it. The AC was fantastic. All of the appliances worked well. Super fun, well decorated, perfect for the two of us. Emily was an outstanding host. She communicated well and quickly. We had a great time with a great vehicle.

Dolores was very good to us. She's got a few bumps & bruises on her outside but her owners have remodeled her nicely inside. She rides like a Cadillac & her engine purrs with power. And like a lot of old ladies I know, her gauges are a little off, she's a bit heavy on the sauce (9mpg), & ya gotta get used to her. But those same old ladies are a lot of fun once you get to know them....just like Dolores. If she'll have us, I'm certain we'll call on her again to take us on our next adventure in Ohio & Indiana. Super fun, cozy vintage RV. Tons of character and very well maintained. My kids absolutely loved the trip in Dolores, and in fact said "We're back, Dolores!" every time they got back inside. So cute. Emily and her father were a pleasure to deal with and very flexible with us when we had issues returning the RV and finding a dumping site. Would rent again!

We had the best time in Dolores! Don't let her age fool you, she is perfect in anyway. Thank you Emily for keeping us informed throughout our trip. Your dad is the an absolute sweetheart. We will definitely rent again when we visit Ohio.

We spent the weekend hooked up at Buck Creek State Park in Springfield Ohio. The camper was miraculous, the coldest AC I have experienced in an RV and everything worked fine. Good memories and we had a no-worry weekend.

We took Delores up for a fun filled weekend at the race track and she was perfect for the two of us. I think if we had one more person, it would have been kinda cramped, so I think two is the right number. Even with her steering being a little floaty, she was a peach to drive. just like any other older vehicle, after a few miles you get a hang of her.
