About Emily's RV rentals
My friends call me the rain goddess, because I have never met a festival where were we don't end up drenched at least one day. After years of drying out damp tents, I finally upgraded to Holly G. Lightly, my camping home away from home. I enjoy traveling as much as possible, with a lot of time spent in national parks and festivals (muisc, yoga). Always fun to meet new people, and get a change of perspective.

My daughter and I had a very nice trip and experience renting the 'Holly G'. The van was clean and ready for us when we arrived to pick it up. Emily was friendly and responded to any questions we had quickly. I would recommend renting from Emily.

We rented Emily’s van for a camping trip 2 hours from DC. One hour into the trip the A/C went out (92 degrees outside). Thirty minutes later the check engine light started flashing and we lost almost all power going up a hill. I swerved to the shoulder and barely missed being rear-ended by an 18-wheeler. Going up hills the van maxed out at 15 mph driving on the shoulder with the hazards blinking. Our two-hour trip ended up being 3 hours and 15 minutes. Down hills the van picked up speed to about 65 mph and it was nice because it allowed us to get some momentum before going up the next hill and dropping speed. On one steep hill we maxed out at 11 mph driving on the shoulder. It was basically like riding a roller coaster.
It was also out of alignment. I had to hold tight to the wheel the entire trip to keep it under control and every time I hit the brakes the van swerved to the right. While Emily was sympathetic regarding our near-death experience and no A/C in the heat, even offering us a refund, she stopped responding after I agreed to a 50% refund and sent her my Venmo information, which she had asked for. The last time I heard from her several days ago she said Outdoorsy customer service never returned her emails or chat requests, but when I contacted them they responded within 4 hours.
So, 12 days after I first alerted Emily there was a problem, I sit here with no refund yet and 5 days since her last message. Fingers crossed! If you’re going to rent it, make sure you get all the roadside assistance coverage you can possibly get.

It was wonderful overall! We had a blast in that van and would recommend it to anyone seeking a cozy adventure.
