About Kate's RV rentals
I've had my RV for 6 years and have enjoyed traveling the Oregon coast, journeying to see family in the mid-West and hanging out in the mountains when the heat in Tucson in July gets just a little unbearable. I've traveled with my dogs and have cherished every moment out and about with them. I will consider renting to pet owners if after some questions I think it would work. Size, number, breed, and kind of pet would be of interest in this consideration.

RV not as advertised

The RV was wonderful. With our family of four, we took it over a thousand miles and it performed wonderfully. Kate was friendly, easy to work with, and responded very quickly to any questions we had. The next time we choose to rent an RV, we would definitely choose her.

The experience with Kate and this RV was seamless, relaxing, and fun! We needed a no-worry, comfortable getaway, and this is exactly what we had. Kate took the time to go over the RV and its systems in detail. We plan to do this again SOON!!

The owner Kate Dawes is a wonderful individual has always been available during our almost 3 weeks of renting her motor home.
Unfortunately after the first night all the outlets did not work so we were unable to do a number of things. Then on our return trip we had to have the left rear inside tire changed which was fine until we stopped for the night and the slide out would extend more than 2 inches nor would it close. We were not on the road very long and a loud beeping sound started we again called road side assistance and Cathy led me through a series of test determining that it was because the slide out was not securely in its designed position. After extending and retracting the jacks it stopped. After we were on the road for about an hour the motor home began to vibrate. We were coming into Midland Tx. so pulled off into a Discount Tire store. The manager quickly determined that the left rear tires were about to come off as the lug nuts had come lose from the tire change and ruined both wheels. There were no parts available, parts were ordered earliest arrival Friday morning. We were trapped from 9:30am Wednesday till noon on Friday we were in Midland waiting for parts and the repair. We drove home.

The Four Winds Siesta was a dream boat to drive. I took her out in the AZ wilderness during a massive winter storm and she handled it like a champ. The campsite best accessible with a 4x4 but this RV handled the rugged terrain effortlessly. The accommodations were incredibly clean and comfortable, great on gas mileage, and fantastic all around. Kate was understanding and informative and attentive when the RV was returned with a few concerns having to do with the trip. I could not recommend this more and would absolutely use Kate and the Four Winds again in the future.

Kate was an absolute pleasure to work with, and the RV performed fantastically! It was a perfect size for dispersed camping, and really made out trip special. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from kate again in the future, and fully recommend her to others!

The RV was very nice and easy to drive. Kate’s instructions were thorough and helpful. The hydraulic leveler fuel leaked just before we left so we could not level the vehicle during rental. I asked for a discount because of the leak but did not receive one.

We were happy with the rental experience. Kate was very responsive to our questions, and she went out of her way to help us when needed. It was a good way to travel to Illinois to visit relatives. We achieved nearly 18 MPG!

Kate was an Absolute Delight to work with. She is very knowledgeable, explained everything with us, and made sure we were comfortable with the RV before we left. Also, the dog in the RV picture is super sweet! Thanks Kate!

Kate took care of everything like a pro and the coach drove like a dream, at all speeds for 8-12 hrs a day. Even with leather seats, was no discomfort of any kind as we drove nearly cross-country at 50-70 mph. Averaged 12-15 mpg regardless of the speed. Drove great over flat highways and pulled strong through the mountains.
Controls were easy to understand and all items, kitchen stuff, restroom, slide-out, generator, steps, lights... everything we used worked perfectly. The auto-levelers were super fast, super easy and as long as we were mostly level to start with, worked perfectly to level us out. And all of that leveling stuff was handled from inside. Save yourself problems. and don't forget to raise them and go outside to verify all before you drive off. We did it right every time and had none. The bed was super comfy and worked fine for both of us. Shower was hot. The fridge/freezer worked fine and auto-switched between gas and electric. Large capacity propane tank kept us cooking and that fridge working for a long time between fills. Dumping the gross stuff and refilling the good tank was easy. Just bring rubber gloves for that, think through the steps - clean water first, then the gross stuff and it'll go great for you too. Remember to spin the cover on & off from the outside after the threads align. Lots easier that way. We set the reverse cam to view as we drove and it was like we had eyes back there. And run that generator whenever you want. It costs pennies to do it and is worth every one.

Kate is simply great, on every way. Her willingness to respond to all questions, go the extra mile in soma N.Y. ways, led us to hug her- when we first met. She’s a dynamo who really cared that each aspect of our trip was just the best. Many thanks Kate!

This was the first time we’ve ever rented a RV. Kate was excellent. She was very thorough in her preparations for the rental. I would rent from her again without hesitation.

This was a clean well kept RV. Kate gave all the information required to be able to operate and drive the RV. She had a fabulous personality as well. I will rent again from her.
