At Chasing Sunsets Recreation, we’re driven by a lifelong love of camping and the outdoors. I grew up trailer camping across Utah and Wyoming, exploring everything from quiet mountain lakes to wide desert valleys. In 2022, after buying my first motorhome, I started this business so we could share the magic of the west side of the Rockies with others. From the red rock landscapes of southern Utah to the incredible national and state parks across the region, we’re passionate about helping you experience the places that shaped our adventures. Moab is my favorite family getaway—wide-open spaces, unforgettable trails, and the perfect setting to reconnect with nature. The adventure awaits the solo camper, to family and friends of all nature enthusiasts.

This RV was perfect for what we needed. Mikel was an exceptional host. He was very responsive to questions while we were on our trip. Lots of extras were provided and it was clean. We had never traveled in a motorhome before so we were surprised at how noisy and bumpy it was, but we would never have had such a successful trip had we not rented it. If we could give the host 10 stars, we would.

Overall this was a good experience. Working with Mike was great. All-in-all, pick-up was easy, it was clean, and Mike provided some nice extras (towels, camp chairs, camp table, and a few other items) and most things functioned well. Unfortunately there were a couple of things that did not function that really detracted from the trip. The water pump was not functioning and so if we were not hooked up to a water line at a campsite (which we were not planning on most days) then we had no water in the RV. Mike was very responsive in trying to help us troubleshoot, but when we realized that it was a failed pump, there wasn't a lot we could do other than just deal with it. There were a few electrical issues as well with circuit breakers popping and the fridge would flip off sometimes and we'd have to re-start it... not huge deals, but still a bit annoying to deal with as first time RVers. We ended up cutting our trip short, and Mike was kind enough to help get us a refund to cover the days that we didn't use.
