The combination of the pandemic and having a toddler made international travel a bit more tedious and complicated over the last few years. However, it was a blessing in disguise because this time allowed us to rediscover all the wonders of California we took for granted in the past. After surviving the Texas experiment for 3 years, we truly can say there is nothing like the Golden State. There are countless natural wonders to discover right in our own backyard and Tuktuk makes it just a bit more of a family friendly adventure.

My experience with the van and the host were perfect. Better than expected. This helped me realize I do not want to buy a van. Though it was seamless since I didn't have to plug the van in to use the lights and what not and the van drove wonderfully, it was too big and scary for me to navigate on a regular basis. I drive a Prius C and like the compactness of it. I'm so grate I could find this out prior to purchasing one. And I would need an air conditioner in the next one I rent. I run way too hot to rely on the ceiling fan. But it was perfect for keeping the air moving. I would recommend this van!!!!! And the host was perfect too.

We rented the VANdalorian from Mike, and it was an outstanding experience. The van was spotless, easy to drive, and spacious enough for our whole family. As first-time RV renters, Mike went above and beyond sharing tons of useful tips, accommodating our special requests, and making sure we felt fully prepared. He was extremely responsive whenever we had questions and was a truly great host. We had an amazing time, made lasting memories, and would absolutely do this again.

First time staying in a campervan. My husband and I loved it. Having a bathroom and a bed off the ground and an overhead light was great! The camper drove easily, no problem on the freeway or windy roads. So much storage inside the van!
Mike was very easy to communicate with and gave a good orientation. We will definitely rent from him again.

My family of 3 have some experience travelling in several campervan's and RV's so we're well familiar with pro's and con's of different rigs and we were pretty impressed with this one. It was just right for us. It's large enough to be comfortable with the essentials yet small enough to be able to park pretty much everywhere without too many hassles. It was pretty well stocked with the essentials for making meals, bathroom and cleaning supplies, chairs. There were even small details such as an ax for chopping firewood, smore sticks, headlamps. Things were clearly labelled. We brought a lot of stuff of our own since we didn't know what we expect but it wasn't needed. The mattress had an extra pad which made sleeping very comfortable. We did a combination of camping with hookups and dry camping in a road trip and it all worked out great. Overall one of the best camping experiences we have had.
