We are the Kirchner family and this is our second year of owning our own camper and getting to experience the great outdoors! I was raised camping a lot, so its great that we as a family can start to do this and I can pass this onto my children. We have 3 kids who love to go camping and love the experience of having the bunkhouse bunkbeds in the camper. We have 2 huskies that come with us on our trips and they seem to enjoy the new experiences as well. For favorite trips so far, my vote would have to be either: 1) KOA below Mount Rushmore (Mount Rushmore KOA Resort at Palmer Gulch Resort) for the scenery as well as the amenities on site or 2) Chief White Crane Campground in Yankton, SD. This campground is well developed, has great recreation options nearby, and is just overall fun.
