Hello! Inca Wheels is an Incan (Native Peruvian) owned family business that focuses on sustainable campervan adventures. Our first campervan was built using solar panels to power a cooler, sheep's wool as a sustainable insulation option, and FSC certified wood. The business was started by Joao Vilca Soto who also manages Ruta Verde, a nonprofit that focuses on sustainable development projects in the United States and in Peru. The business will primarily operate to help raise funds for Ruta Verde, committing at least 30% of revenues will go to the nonprofit.

Thanks to Joao we had a lot of fun on our trip. Even though we had some car troubles along the way (blew a tire), Joao was always quick to answer and help us out where he could. The van was well equipped, it had everything from cutlery ranging to shades for the windshield and enough blankets, sleeping bags and pillows to be comfortable. The van is equipped with a cooler that is powered through a solar panel on the roof, which kept everything cool even during hotter days. Absolutely would recommend booking this van!

A short overnighter, the van was perfect for what we were looking for! It drove great, was extremely comfortable…absolutely perfect! Joao was super easy to deal with. He had everything prepared: stoves, fridge, pots, pans and cups…bedding. He also had secure parking where we were able to leave our car upon pick-up.

Joao's van was perfect for exploring the Washington area. It had everything you could possibly need. Joao is very easy to reach and willing to assist at anytime with providing lots of extras. To think it helps a great cause is even better.

We had a great trip in Joao’s van! He was super communicative and helpful! The van had about everything you need to survive, we got to town and just grabbed some groceries and were on to our adventure.

Joao went above and beyond to make sure I had the best trip possible! He made sure we had everything we needed, even offered to lend out some extra camping supplies. Joao was super nice, great at communicating, and hearing about his nonprofit work was inspiring. The van was custom built by Joao with sustainable materials wherever possible. Overall it was very comfortable, and has everything you need and no extra bulk for a either quick weekend or longer! I would highly recommend this van renting from Joao!

We had an amazing time! 10/10 recommend!
Right from the start, Joao was great with communication as we navigated a few timing changes before departure. We picked up the van and headed out for some dispersed camping!
The van is a great size and the solar power and portable shower were great. Joao has everything you might need in the van from cooking equipment to bedding!
Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend!
